Clearly they've dug in their heels. Question I have is do they believe the shooter or are they pissed they were played. Story was riveting. However, being in that particular publication made me question the accuracy.

I don't know what the answer is. The last time the federal government forayed into gun control, Waco/AR ban and OKC retaliation, hundreds died. I don't want that and it will be worse, I think. No offense meant, just being honest.

@bkgreenfeet That's most likely true. I've been to Arlington to visit 3 g-grandfather's grave. The feelings I felt being there make it nearly impossible for me to fathom someone doing this. I'd like to think some of the mob were reacting like that and not from blind worship. That said, I was personally outraged and did not contact her employer. I did discuss it on Twitter, though.

@CBSenior  @Old PH2  @VermontPT  I agree with @BrandonWebb that you don't give your rights up.  However, you do submit yourself and your actions to the judgement of your employer. Seems akin to signing a contract with a morals clause.

She exercised her free speech and in doing so exposed her employer to the free speech of others. She was visiting Arlington as active representative of her employer during a company trip.

@notdrakebell I don't disagree with what you've said. I worry that if the President wins reelection and Republicans don't take the Senate, it will spin out like the Fast and Furious.  Short of both chambers, there will not be enough political might to do much of anything. If Romney wins, I feel it will buried as a courtesy to the previous administration.  I can't help but think what isn't out in the next 5 days will be nothing more than a generic non-consequential finding of facts.

Interesting. Leaving a witness would seem to discount a hit. Suppose they could have been foreigners soon to disappear and weren't worried about it. Either way, seems very sloppy. Could have been a countermeasure. Not enough evidence released to draw a conclusion.

Not sure how it's even possible to not have some political agenda at play in this investigation. State is going to be interested in covering their ass. House is going to want to burn their ass. The only true information we will ever see are requests for additional security measures and subsequent denials. We need to see them and draw our own conclusions. Seems to me, somewhere in that hostile an environment operating under a waiver should have never been that heavily staffed.

@ChrisHagerman I saw the aerial footage of Glen Doherty's funeral procession.  So many people lined up along the path of the hearse.  Very moving and, I think, indicative of the fact that we still support our military members and, when necessary, their survivors.  Perhaps we aren't as loudly supportive as in the recent past.  With all the political and international upheaval, I suppose that is lost in the din.  I can only promise that I will not forget.
