@jimibob The point you make about the 'good time' Charlies voting is valid. This only shows how astute our Founding Fathers were with their original design for our government! The had intended only land-owners be able to vote, at least I believe, for the Senators they wished to elect, if not both houses of Congress! Today, this would NOT include the welfare types who ensured our Pretender-in-Chief's election! I would propose that NO vote be allowed from anyone not either gainfully employed,, economically self-sufficient, or with an existing retirement income! If you draw welfare from the government, you do NOT get to determine how TAXPAYERS taxes are spent! This is only fair!
Fat chance we have of Congress allowing this to happen, along with term limits, and requiring them to comply with laws they pass for us! The liberals NEED these layabouts and louts to KEEP them in office!

@wisewoman In addition, it has been shown that the apathetic voter, hit with scandal after scandal, becomes jaded and figures it is 'just the way government is'! They remain dulled for some time. Cagy pols know how to parlay this into a re-election triumph by creating another scandal about the OPPOSITION just a few month before election time! Democrats managed to whip up a frenzy about George W, and for some, it STILL is a 'cause celebe'!

Due to YOUR actions, we STOPPED producing economical Freon 12 for air-conditioners, and began using a different, less efficient, more expensive gas, because it was 'ruining the atmosphere'! It supposedly produced HCFC atoms which caused a 'hole in the ozone layer' when released from broken air-conditioners, etc.
Unfortunately for your 'theories', MORE HCFC was produced during the few weeks eruption of Mt. Pinataubo in the Philippine Islands than mankind EVER released from our systems in all times! How many dollars did your liberal cohorts producing the NEW Freon make with THIS dodge?\
You liberal fools' latest kick is 'carbon footprints' and CO2 production, the 'Artic ice sheet is melting!", 'the glaciers are retreating', 'the polar bears habitat is shrinking'', etc, etc,, ad nauseum! Your big liberal buddy, Al Gore, is all set to make a bundle should we fall for this latest boondoggle. If these things are happening, it is indeed sad! But, America is NOT the great polluter of the planet, and hasn't been for YEARS! Presently, it is China, with India ramping up, along with middle Asia and Russia! Go peddle your theories to them! AND, leave US ALONE!
Why should we trust the government, composed of possibly excellent politicians (opinions vary WIDELY, here!), make decisions about medicine, energy, industry, and finance? Since they control expenditures, obviously finance is GOING to happen. However, in medicine, pols passed legislation they had NOT EVEN READ, the result: Obamacare! In energy, they funded Solyndra, an unproven technology, unaccepted, and undemanded, and ALSO attempted to build a company from the ground up, to produce a questionable product for which there was no real demand, just a sketchy desire for this to happen. The result: total failure! Unexpected? Not by anyone with any sense!
Obamacare has been shown to be unworkable, so far, without additional work and/or cash. Of course, this total POS was 'ginned' up, not by medical people, not by medical actuaries, but by INSURANCE PEOPLE (?), so be prepared to be cut off at the knees, LITERALLY, should you get sick!
If you ask me (and no one has, btw), the government would get more, and surer, results by posting a prize toward some wanted goal, with some rewards as plateaus are reached (or punishments, if necessary!), rather that attempting to finance the ENTIRE project! One thing they've done toward this end, is raise the CAFE (Corporate Auto Fuel Efficiency?) limits gradually over the last few years. And, the automobile industry has growled, complained, groused, and FORCED themselves to attempt it, and have succeded, so far! They had to improve engine design, lighten weight, etc, ANYTHING to comply. The WAY to achieve lower CAFE limits was NOT specified in the government directives, which is probably best!
I am wondering if she really CAN speak, if not read, English. Many can, but won't admit it if they think their comprehension isn't good, or if it's to their advantage to NOT understand! Did one of them have an accident due to his/her negligence and want to capitalize on it to get some work-place injury cash, or get paid for time lost due to this negligent injury? Did some lawyer put them all up to this? It wouldn't surprise me, at all!
My solution to ANYONE who wants work, but REFUSES to learn the language of the land, is LEAVE THAT LAND! Seek a job somewhere you CAN speak the language! Solves the problem for all!

I have traveled IN GERMANY, and luckily for me, MANY there DO speak understandable English, and some do it quite well! I was only there for a month on vacation, but I tried to learn and speak as much as I could, if only to know where to go and what foods to order! They appreciate it if you can speak their language, even if not too well, but they accommodate as much as they can! Now, if THEY can learn English, WHY THE HELL can't Latinos/Latinas bother to learn at least what their JOBS REQUIRE?
The absolute gall of these clowns is ludicruous! Are they even legally here, much less CITIZENS of the U.S.? I think the employers should ENSURE their employees can speak and read AND be legally in the country BEFORE they are employed! It is easy! Just use eVerify, and there would be NO PROBLEM!

With the FOIA (Freedom of Info Act), ANYONE can find out names, addresses of who owns guns. What difference would THIS make, you ask? You and I know NO data is EVER completely expunged, despite assurances contrary! Point One: thieves/burgulars/drug users now know where the guns are.....either to steal, or to avoid your address and burgle another! Point Two: The worst one....should the unimaginable happen and we're invaded, the enemy just accesses the list, goes to that address and demands the guns. Improbable? It happened in several countries in WWII ! Another possibility.....a local government is doing illegal things to stay in office, and/or is riddled with graft and refuses to step down, or Obama's jack-booted thugs want to confiscate weapons "for our own good", we have recourse!

And then there's the money-man (Rezka, Rezko?) who was behind the Clintons shenanigans! Follow the money!

Bush (required while President), by percentage of total income to total donations! You'll find the Liberal is liberally stingy with his OWN money, but overwhelmingly generous when it's other peoples!

Bill Richardson, who's name is NOWHERE near Hispanic, finds fault with Ted CRUZ, (not Cruise, as in TOM!), saying HE isn't Hispanic enough! Typical Democrat!
