Looking good Mike! I love seeing Japanese wheels on German cars (and vice versa)
I've always liked the look of those VW Detroits but I always imagined that they weigh a lot. Going to be doing some work on my VW project soon, I think some lightweight wheels and track rubber are in order.

@Larry Chen Sounds like a plan. Actually I have an idea, I'll send you a note about it.

Something about that R32 MKV Golf up there. Just the right amount of drop and track ready wheel/tire combo. A nice break from the mega slams and stretched tires (nothing wrong with that, BTW) Gives me some ideas for my VW project!

I love this car! Done right.
If I could have another Z in my life, it would be something like this. Nice choice in tires by the way :)
So much badass in this post! I love that Nova wagon and the black Falcon. Rad minivan and enjoyed seeing some of those trucks too, it reminded me of my toyota mini truck from back in the day. That Miata fastback had my eyes playing tricks on me, where did the fastback addition come from?

I don't have my suspension sorted yet, so I'm already bouncin'...and I'm known to bump Snoop or Dre every now and then. Already there my friend! ;)

Thanks! My daughter's favorite Hot Wheels car is the Hako. I keep using that as a reason to buy the real deal, but my wife isn't going for it just yet...
That's the spirit. I have 3 old Datsuns, and they all have little things that aren't quite right. Over time they can be fixed, but for now I just count them as part of the experience and an opportunity to find creative solutions.
@dantsince78 You know your old school RC's! The Taisan Porsche is one of my favorites, which is why it's top shelf :)
@bradlesh240 Agreed, I can't fault the twin SU's with the 2.8 bottom end. There is a good amount of torque and enough ooomph to keep me happy, for now. The car doesn't have any camber plates, unless you know something I don't!
@speedesign It's referred to as an "IMSA 3-pc wing" here in the states.
@JDML Eric Thanks Eric! It was good seeing you at JCCS.
Mizuno Works is the one shop I have been wanting to visit for a while. I can't begin to explain how excited I am to see this feature Mike, this is the stuff I love. Next time I'm in Japan I'll have to pay homage to the source of so much inspiration.
I was lucky enough to see the gold Ken and Yonmeris in person during the Auto Salon meet in January... Mind blown.

I enjoy seeing Hakos dressed outside their norm. A white or silver Hako on black Wats is a beautiful thing, but builds like this are more fun to see. Looks like a proper street bruiser to me, I'm loving it! Part of the creative process is trying something different, and there is pure joy in that.

I love it! The homebuilt Mark II just makes me smile. Thanks for the spotlight, I never get tired of seeing the kaido racers.

I went to Paris for 2 days on business back in December, and spent an entire day on Champs-Élysées "sightseeing" but being the car guy it quickly turned into speedhunting, especially when you discover the many showrooms. I did the same thing at the Arc as well- watch the cars go by. I could have spent way more time there, it's truly an amazing city.

Spend a bit more time in the garage, and get a lot of road grime on the cars. Some mud on the truck would be nice. Of course, life seems to get in the way of the most opportune moments...

Mike and Sean, hope I run into you guys at TAS next week!
Larry, love the S30, seems like there's a few of those in the works ;)

The cars, the owner, the story, the space, the photos, all of it- truly inspiring! After reading this, all I want to do is go work on my cars, then go out for a drive. It also makes me want to go tidy up the garage and lay down some hardwood flooring.

Should I be worried?!
Thanks for the great coverage and kind words about my wagon, Sean. Look forward to meeting up sometime. By the way were you on LA Fixed at some point? I think I remember you from there...
