It's funny, I just read an article in an old edition of CXM discussing the differences between US and EURO courses... One of the things that it talked about was people even subjecting riders to a beer shower, as if it was one of the cool American participation aspects of cross.
I think it was stupid to include that as a part of 'American CX' in the article, but funny that it's a problem when people are apparently doing what makes our cross stand out. I'd be pissed if anyone ever threw beer on me... or anything at/on me during a race. Offering handups is fine, but the rider should choose to interact or not.
LoL at bring canti bike for simplicity!!! I thought that disc was the ultimate in simplicity, set it and forget it, awesomeness?!?!

Awesome, attempted murder is now a civil infraction!!! If he waved a gun and fired it... there would be outrage!!!

I imagine Ryan sure couldn't have used the 5% difference in oxygen that Powers was able to use from acclimation for 2 weeks living at altitude before nationals. 1.5% improvement in his lap times wins him the race. Yes, altitude and spending time before the race at altitude made a difference

And to think, I train all year to try to improve my lap times by a few percent (1% of an 8 minute lap =+20 seconds over a 40min race). Yea, it makes a big difference. #hometownchamps
