Blogger, Podcaster, YouTuber, Social Media Diva!
Hi Ray, you packed a ton of tips into this post! I'm glad I got a chance to stop by.
I saw the SME post about embedding HOA's in Tweets, but I'm not sure if anyone would watch them on Twitter. I know I would never do that but maybe I'm missing something there.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying we shouldn't Tweet about the HOA, but I'd much rather for people to come over to the event or watch on YouTube.
I needed the instructions for Friends + me I re-installed it a couple of days ago and forgot it was there. Thanks for sharing more details about what it can do.
Take care Ray and have a great week!

I'm a long tine iStock user. We've been using it at work for over a decade so when I started blogging 5 years ago of course I stayed with iStock out of loyalty. I heard that the new pricing structure was coming and I was actually looking forward to it. But after reading your post I doubt if I'll continue using their images for my blog. I'll keep my account open though because they are still giving us a free image every week and a free music track once a month.
Thanks for the post Patrick consider it Pinned :)

I want to win this mic because I think it's cool and I'd love to start using it for my podcast :)

I love hearing about Nikola Tesla. He is most often used to symbolize what's known as a "Mad Scientist". I never knew that he dressed that way though. Most likely this explains why he didn't have many friends.
When it comes to traffic Google giveth and Google taketh away, but there is actually a method to their madness. They play on your ego and keep you chasing your own tail until you eventually go mad and in desperation end up giving them your dough.

SEOPressor is one of my favorite plugins. People should really take advantage of the 14 day trial. It's hot.

The Hootlet has now become my "go-to" tool for social sharing. Here's my favorite feature: When I'm done scheduling or tweeting I get the link that takes me back to my dashboard. Sounds like a really simple option, but it's a huge time saver for me and a one of a kind feature that makes HootSuite stand out above the competition.
I also love that I can Tweet Instagrams without jumping through hoops! YouTube post scheduling is a breeze and I could go on and on but I'll stop there (for now).
♥ you guys! Thanks.

@Cliff Ravenscraft You're welcome. I was a little confused about the two different libraries when they made the announcement so I was really pleased to find out we have access to music we can actually download.
I used the other library to make bumpers for playlists. I found a couple of 6 second clips for transitions to announce the title of the upcoming video in the playlist. It was fun to play around with inside the YouTube editor.

Hey Cliff, great show as usual.
I just wanted to clarify something you said - the older library of music that YouTube has available for us is only used to replace the existing audio on your video.
In other words - your voice will NOT be mixed in with the music.
Thanks for the show Cliff!

I stopped using Keywordluv a long, long time ago.
One of them emailed me and asked me to remove their links and then they went on to "threaten" that if I didn't they would disavow them!
Oh that's another thing.
I think a lot of those comment spammers disavowed all the links we let them have.
That's why it's so important to have multiple traffic sources, like social media for example.
My blog got hit too, but I don't really worry too much about it.
Do they let you have your own domain on these band pages?
Kim. Pretty Link Pro is one of the best plugins I ever got from you.
@blondishnet if I switch themes I will need Yoast.
@blondishnet @Ileane Thanks Nile!
It's a paid training program....
MaAnna has a training for the proper set up of Yoast.
Good for you Kim! I use SEOPressor 5. It's the easiest one for keyword density checking. You need a manual just to install Yoast....
At least the Google+ spammers are polite lol
I do see a few spam comments but it's the harmless kind
I enjoy Google+ comments
Trackback spam is the worse
When I leave comments on some new blogger's blog, they are amazed and truly appreciative
I agree 100%
Lets talk about Panda
Yes LeadPlayer certainly works better on shorter videos.
I won LeadPlayer in a contest so it was free. I would rather have a popup in a video than use a popup on my blog.
My tutorial is on LeadPlayer
Did you see my question about LeadPlayer and Wistia? Have you tried them
Have you tried Wistia or LeadPlayer yet?
LiveFyre doesn't like my comments.

Great advice to make sure guest authors get Google Authorship. It is one the incentives that rewards the author - and the blog owner benefits from the additional traffic. I always encourage people who are looking for blogs to guest post on, to check to make sure they are getting authorship before they send the request.
On my blog I have the Authorship feature built in with the Thesis Awesome blogskin I use. But there are some really light-weight plugins that bloggers can use so they don't have to worry about code. One good plugin is called Better Author Bio Box.
When I email guest authors to tell them that their post is live, I will also remind them to add their author link to the Google + profile. I get a lot more traffic from posts when the Authorship shows up!
Thanks for putting the word out and providing the detailed instructions.

I use Screencast-o-matic Pro. I find this to be the most affordable and full featured recording software available for pc. I also use it to record my podcasts. Screenr is great but you can't edit the videos or add overlays, transitions, etc. Screenr did come in handy when I recorded a How To Use Screencast-o-Matic video.

Hi Alice, I love how you have embraced video in your marketing strategy. I'm using most of what you mentioned here with the exception of the transcript. It on the top of my to do list though!
I'm not totally sold on the usefulness of InVideo programming for the type of content I post on YouTube. I'm not seeing any additional traffic but I'm still testing. Thanks for the post Alice.
