Interesting write up Brian, we gave up following these types that you speak of over a year ago. We all have a niche and listening to a FB guru does nothing for my biz, which is focused on Google Plus. I do have to say that the first thing clients ask about is our numbers and the numbers of some of our clients. In the end it is still about conversions. If after some time you can not help the client with their sales funnel or grow their personal brand, you will be looking for a new client.
Give the client value, communicate well, deliver a good ROI and you will have long term clients. Don't worry about the other guys, quality and numbers are all you need to succeed in this business.

Maybe I am a purist, but automated tools make my skin crawl. People want true authentic engagement. People ask me how I do so well on Google Plus. It is pure engagement built up since the network started. There is no quick fix, time is needed and the best option for small to medium size business is to outsource to a professional.

So much information out there to consume. I found that just starting is the best way to find your path. Being stuck in the learning cycle is maddening!

@Bryan McDonald @raremetalsguy I downloaded his latest CD a few months back. My wife laughs when I am listening to it, because she can't understand him. Just like when I laugh listening to all the Panamanians around me speaking their goofy version of Spanish. ; )

Eric Thomas is one of my favorites also!!
I love the article!! One technique that I use it to pin first with the link to the photo and then share on Google Plus with the Pinterest link in the header section. Pinterest and Google Plus do go great together.
