@Gregory Smith @brianlsimmons Last I checked, there were no proposals to construct hyperloop-style transit systems in Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, etc, so I'm not sure what your point is. If there is such a proposal, I would hope the designers take into account the lack of available local transport. As for the system actually proposed, I believe most business travelers to SF/LA are sufficiently savvy as not to be stranded at the terminal. (Unlike those who patronize dirt-strip airfields in Idaho.)

@Gregory Smith Ah, so I guess you also don't fly anywhere, take trains, buses or any other form of mass transit? You do understand that people sometimes take trips without their cars, right? As you suggest, when people reach their destinations, they take subways, buses, taxis, or even rent cars! It's truly a remarkable age we live in.
@Jim Lynch You're quite right, Jim. I'm certain the sound barrier never even occurred to those dummies over at SpaceX. You should call up old Mr. Musk and steer him right.
Or, in the alternative, you could take an hour and read the full technical abstract and perhaps educate yourself before you spout off and come across like an ignorant tool. Just sayin'.
@TheDark_Knight @brianlsimmons Of course, the jury is still out on WP8. I'm just saying switching to iOS is no temptation for me (compared to Android, it's ugly and inconvenient), but depending on how WP8 looks and integrates with my laptop/desktop environment, I could be persuaded to switch.

I would consider switching from Android...to WP8. Apple is just done for me. One additional row of rounded-square icons is not exactly a game-changer.
