What about Rivera stopping at 3rd on a double? I was only watching on Gameday in class, so I wasn't sure if Gordon would have made it home or not.

Walking Pagan to get to Scutaro, Not switching out Rivera for Gordon, having AJ bunt...this game alone should get Mattingly fired.

Agone has exactly 37 sac flies in his career. All time leaders in Sac flies taper around 100. It does not affect BA.

@Ken Griffey's Grotesequely Swollen Jaw  @CodeBlueICU That's silly, even the most hardcore sabermatrician will acknowledge that different people react to pressure situations differently. The thought is that the effect is small. However, AGone, in his career, bats .281 with the bases empty and .327 with RISP. (2500 PAs vs 1300 PA, respectively.) It's also the case that pitchers pitch different with men on base which may also play a factor, but nonetheless, it has an end effect that matters.

@Ken Griffey's Grotesequely Swollen Jaw @CodeBlueICU True but I imagine Kemp has the same approach no matter where he hits where as Gonzo is pushing himself to hit more homeruns. Plus, Gonzo is a lot better with RISP than Kemp.

Anyone else notice how the Dodgers players are just walking a whole lot less (particularly Hanley and Gonzo) relative to their careers? I think Hanley should bat lead off so he's not pressured into thinking he has to hit homeruns every time up. Maybe then he'll go back to hitting over 320. Same with Gonzo, who should bat 3rd, since he clearly has shown a high ability to get on base in his career.

For all those saying "maricon" just means "wimp" or "p***y" you should also know that the colloquial usage of "f****t" in English also refers to words like "wimp" or "p***y." Basically, in English: "f****t" is used in place of "wimp" but IT'S STILL OFFENSIVE.
