I love these "organic" settings like this, crowds gathered somewhere in public. JC is that dude, he can go man!

That boy JC is nice man, gotta keep an eye out for him. Would love to see him take on a bigger name in the game at a URL or UW event.

@Blatant Homerism "We can cherry pick data points, but when it comes down to it, about half the teams in the SEC didn't really do anything last year (Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Auburn, Tennessee, Arkansas, Mizzou, Kentucky)."

My problem with that is that the exact same thing could be said of the Big XII:

- TCU and WV barely finished above .500.

- Iowa State finished below .500

- Kansas was arguably the worst D1 team in the nation last year.

- OSU, Baylor, and TTU were 7-5 going into Bowl Season...in a league where their two best teams were handled in bowl season and their 3rd best team (Texas) was embarrassed by their best team (Oklahoma).

"Of the teams that made bowl games in that group, go and look at where their wins came from last year."

And, again, let's ask the same of the Big XII. The Big XII's best non-conference win was against Ole Miss...a team you claim did didn't even do anything this year.

The Big 12's two best teams, Oklahoma and KSU, were handled in their Bowl Games.

But teams like Vandy had to play Florida (who they hung in there with), Georgia, South Carolina (who they almost beat, and arguably should have on a very bad missed PI call), and at Ole Miss who, late in the season, was a much different team.

And, keep in mind, of the teams you mentioned who did nothing, look who they play:

SEC East Teams:

- South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, and Vandy (3/4 in Top 10)

SEC West Teams:

- Alabama, Texas A&M, LSU, and Ole Miss. (3/4 in Top 15)

The worst possible four-game line-up for a Big 12 team is Oklahoma, Texas, KSU, and OSU (0/4 in the Top 10). Do you honestly think those compare?

I take no pause in saying that, at best, 1/4 of the Big 12's best teams could go better than 2-4 in those games, much less the Big 12 bottom feeders.

This is by no means a job at you Allen, I lurk your site more than you know and enjoy following the Big 12 still, even if Texas A&M is gone. I have zero problem with the Big 12 or its teams, and I honestly miss some of the rivalries.

But I think the problem with Stoops is here:

Imagine you have two sororities. Sorority One is known to have the majority of the hottest chicks on campus every year, but has a lot of ugly ones, too. Then, you have another sorority, Sorority Two, who has only one or two of the hottest chicks on campus, but the their ugly chicks aren't as ugly as the ugly chicks in Sorority One.

And Sorority Two then tries to claim there's no difference in the overall "quality" of hot chicks in their sorority and Sorority One's because their ugly chicks are less ugly than the Sorority One's ugly chicks.

So Bob is hanging his hat, his conference's strength in regards to the best in the nation, on the fact that hi ugly chicks are less ugly than the other conference's ugly chicks? That makes zero sense.

And I also think it's a bit off to say half of the teams in the SEC weren't good.

1. Alabama - National Champion over Norte Dame (who soundly beat Oklahoma at home)

2. Texas A&M - Cotton Bowl winner over Oklahoma

3. Georgia - Capital One Bowl winner over Nebraska

4. South Carolina - Outback Bowl winner over Michigan

5. LSU - Chik-fil-A Bowl losers to Clemson

6. Florida - Orange Bowl losers to Louisville

Would you confidently take Oklahoma, the Big 12's best team, over any of those teams? If not, then how could you allow Bob Stoops to mention any kind of gap when the argument could be made that the SEC's top 6 teams are better than the Big 12's best (not saying I necessarily believe that, but since there's some stretching on both sides, I'll roll with that).

Then you have:

7. Ole Miss - Compass Bowl winners over Pitt

8. Miss. St. - Gator Bowl losers to Northwestern

9. Vanderbilt - Music City bowl winners over NC State

I think it's off to say half of the SEC teams are not good. There were 3 SEC teams that were not good: Auburn, Tennessee, and Kentucky. Then there were two teams, Mizzou and Arkansas, who either lost a coach or start QB and never recovered.

And I think the Bowl Game argument is just as flawed. The Big 12's two best teams, Oklahoma and Kansas State, were both beaten soundly; Oklahoma by an SEC team. And the one team that beat Oklahoma during the season, Notre Dame, was destroyed by Alabama.

Real talk, I have never watched Bill Collector or Shotgun Suge (outside of maybe his UW battle a few years back) that I enjoyed. Neither of these dudes really come with it like Ars, DNA, O-Red, Calicoe, T-Rex, etc.

I think the Spurs will take this series with Golden State in 4...get your brooms out. Bottom line: the Warriors don't have the fire power or the experience, nor the ability to execute, to go toe to toe with Tim, Manu, Tony, Kwahi, Green, Neal, etc. Add the fact that GS is short David Lee, and you get the picture.

@Neezy @LFJeremy I appreciate it man. I've actually been fortunate thus far with on online release, got the 11 Breds and the 5 Grapes this past Saturday, 2 for 2. I was able to cookie/cache bust through the site failing when it was crashing for the 11's, but noticed you can't do that anymore when I copped the Grapes now that the Nike Store has a virtual waiting line (which means it didn't crash, so maybe you still can...). Either way, I'll try at all 3 outlets, hopefully I can get a pair...I feel like I've already maxed my luck out on the 11 Breds alone.

And mad props on the Friday quote! ha ha

I'll be up at 5AM PST trying to get them, not even trippin'.

Anybody know if, generally, you have a better chance with restocks? I'd think so, but then again, seems there's a lot of shoe fiends who don't get what they want the first time around/newbies joining the game.
