@shawnjmarshall - The biggest issue is the travel over here. If they're gonna fly all that way, they want to make it worth their while. 

Between expansion of the US market, bike sponsors, and the UCIs desire for growth, the team sponsors' gain may have to be secondary.

So, rumor has it (@InThe Crosshairs, I'm looking at you...) that Nicole Duke didn't turn in her paperwork. It seems like the realities of her situation don't seem congruent with being able to race World's, even though they're just a day's drive away. 

That's a real shame.

If (at 41, I'm beginning to think it's more like when...) I ever decide to forego single speeds for CX, this will be the system I use.

When I first raced 'cross in the late 90s, I used bar-cons, and this is a huge improvement without the disadvantages of integrated brake-shift levers.

Maybe I'm turning into a curmudgeon, but I like the idea of a simpler, less expensive solution.
