Awesome read. Made sure to set some of the places you stopped by on my own list when I make it out there. Look forward to seeing that car.
Really enjoyed reading this. Felt was if I was reading a story, or a book.
Loved this post. The 'Ring should def. be on every motorheads bucket list.
That rear shot of the R32 is money.
The first paragraph about the car is something I can relate to completely. My 964 is not the fastest or most modern car, but it makes me smile every time I see it and more importantly every time I turn the key. I think if one is to find a car that makes them smile every time they turn the key, it's something to hold on too. Looking forward to more.
Great post, one of those slowly upcoming builds many of us can relate too. I once too had taken some tires out of storage to see white balls in the tire tread, deciding to pop them was the worst idea ever. Spiders were everywhere.
A ECU tune for the GTI is not too much, but a day and night difference. As for looks wise, Golf R tails and OEM lip make a great change, the tail lights are a must have and on candy white I think the Cherry finish looks better. Got mine from BKS back in the day. As for wheels, something good daily with a good tire setup for the wifey, I'd say something like 18x8.5et45 all around.
Really love that truck.
If its possible to get a build thread of that 964 it would be really cool.
@Bryn@Speedhunters @AlexG Honestly, sometimes well done on the cheap builds are far more interesting than actual builds. Cause its just pure fun, if that makes any sense.
I'm also for you guys documenting some of your builds. For example, more info is definitely needed on that MG.
Nothing happens when I hit proceed to checkout. Tried logging in and out, nothing :[
The Bluebird is stunning.
I actually think they did the Mercedes up pretty well. I'm sad to see that Mustang though. I loved the look of the RTR when it came out, but this car is just unproportional and has no appeal in my opinion.
@tenpennyjimmy Since the car is at KW, I suppose they have the HLS system which gives it a little bit of travel to clear bumps and stuff. Think of how new Porsches today have air support to clear bumps, same concept but different system.
@TreyFiveOhJoe This is the same thing I wanted to post about. After getting my regular 964, nothing else feels quite the same anymore and I simply wait till I have a chance to drive it again.
I love these types of posts. I plan on coming to Japan for a while later in life, but you just make it so much harder with these types of posts.
