John I did not call you one and do not think you are. I justt wish the good ones like your site would stop retreading these anti/lyer Saban articles. After 6 years it is really old. Most of us who read your site saw or heard the Lavatrd interview, which I thought was quite good. TGHe man was then and is now in a no win situation. Even today anything he says is usually taken out of context or used to try to re-full the hate.

Just can't cut Coach Saban any slack can you John. This was avery open and candid interview with one of, if not the biggest Saban haters, and he handled it with calss andnesty. Coach Sabam does not need me or anyone else tofend for him. But the contniued media war on him ( see idiot Ron Jawarski) after 6 years it sad. I always enjoy your sitre and read it evry day - but consider given him break, on your site at least.

Thanks for the reply John and no my cooments were not directed t you.It was primarily to tohose outside the SEC alrerady mounting a NO Bama/SEC team this year in the BCS. Coah Saban does not need me or anyone else to run intrerfeence for him And as a former player and coach I fully support palyer safety but also understand how a young man can get caught up in the moment and make a mistake. I thibnk/hope you agree that Alabama in genral and certainly under Coach Saban plays to a hight ethic standard of conduct. Enjot the reading each day.
John i beleive this player has/will be punished thoroughly by Coach Saban. He has already public stated his extreme displeasure with Mr. Fannings act and I feel sure he will learn a hard lesson from this. Whether the SEC adds any addition punishment will make no difference except to calm some of the anti-Bama/Saban favoritism mania that folks love to promote. Based on past issues like this I expect Mr. Fanning has already been internally suspended.

John I listened to the entire press conference so I too know what he said. i also heard the radio show. My remarks to you were not intened to offend you. However the facts are that every Bama game has been and will be sold out. You made it sound as if Alabama has an attendance problem and Coach Saban has to beg us to come. I just get tired of people, particularly media, jumping on everything he says and portray him as eveil, nasty,etc. Any one who has followwed his career knows he speaks his mind, pretty much tells it straight and never says anything by accident. he usually has a purpose for his comments and I am sure he did in this case.
Nothing said will discourage me from reading your site - You are correct we all have opinions and they are all worth about the same. If we all agreed the it would not be much fun! Roll Tide and enjoy all the games this weekend.
John you totally missed the point Coach Saban was/has been trying to make.When reporters start off a press conference by asking questions like how many snaps will your back up QB get, and such, they are totally disrepecting another team. Nick Saban does not need you or any other memeber of the media to light a fire under his players. Like him or not his message is always pretty much the same - respect your opponent and play each play to the best of your ability. Scores and results take care of themselves.
And by the way your slap about the tickets is also incorrect. EVERY Bama game is/has been sold out for years. There is a waiting list over 22,000 to get tickets. Te 1000 he refered to was sent back form Western Kentucky from their allotment. YOu usually do better research before casting incorrect statements. Still enjoy the website and red it each day
