Many of these are valid points. Consumers do expect the cloud-based apps to be up all the time, and available  compared with apps they would host in-house.

The reality though is - the in-house apps were very difficult and costly to set up, and also used to crash and go down.   With cloud apps, you can sign up for an application and start using it within minutes.
