@BunBunMakeupTips @dancingdraft Oh, I didn't realize you might not have it in Singapore *smacks forehead*. It's pretty common in the USA, because you don't have to remember it every day, although it is expensive. I think it's safer because the hormone level is about 1/100th of a pill, but I don't know if any studies have been done. You wear it like a tampon and the hormones just sort of seep into your body. I'm really not sure how they get the hormones in the plastic in the first place though!
This is obviously not anywhere near a first line of defense for acne, but using Nuvaring COMPLETELY cleared up my acne within about 2 months. I never had cystic acne, but I had nasty red spots on my entire face, neck, back, chest, and arms to the elbows for almost ten years, and I tried pretty much everything except Accutane. Recently I switched to Mirena, and it's starting to come back on my forehead and chin, boo :( (I DEFINITELY think too much and have TERRIBLE intestines).
