There is one other big thing that google was mentioned at I/O: Google's Education setup for the play store-Being able to control and install apps on dozens if not hundreds of google accounts and devices at once, on lower priced but just as capable hardware.  Apple may have the business market to themselves but Google just took the Education market.

At this point, there is really only 2 options for a portable media player if you want it to be "smart."  The first being the long running iPod touch and the second being Samsung's Galaxy Player Series...I know there a few no-name companies making other android ones but those are the only noteworthy ones.  Now why would Apple give samsung a monopoly on the smart portable media player market?
