Another amazing Supra, loving this trend. This one is so clean. More please, Speedhunters!

My favourite stories on Speedhunters are of builds like these - the story of one man and his machine and how it came to be. There was the great story of Enrique and his Supra in November which I loved, and now this.
Love this project - a long and interesting history culminating in one super cool car. I would love to have the skills to be able to create something like this, but since I don't, it makes the end result all the more impressive.
Congrats on the build and on finally getting it featured!

FINALLY, another Supra featured on Speedhunters. And what a stunning example, This may be my new favourite Supra... In fact, I think it is. I'm also hoping to own one one day, and the picture I have in my head has always been of a red Ridox kitted example, pretty much the same as this (on the outside at least!). I love that kit too, I think it's easily the best kit for the MKIV.
And as if the outside of this car wasn't appealing enough, the mechanics on this thing are simply amazing. I don't think I've ever spent so much time looking at the underside of a car before. And that engine bay... Stunning. I know that when I get mine it will never look anything like this, which makes me lust after this car even more.
This was a great article - amazing subject, great photo's and an engaging story. Thank you!

Yesss, I'm so glad you guys won. I made sure I voted. I've followed the progress closely and I have to say that you definitely deserved it, it is an awesome build.
No bias here either (well maybe a little). I thought SuperStreets car was awesome but the overall theme and execution of your car won it for me.

I can relate to this article so much - my first car love was also a rally spec Subaru Impreza, based on a remote controlled version I had. I used to race it round while watching the highlights of the WRC. I was into cars before then, but I always credit that little toy Subaru with starting off an obsession.
This car is incredible. I saw the teaser photos on Instagram, and I was not disappointed. Thanks for sharing!

I really love this. The personal touches make this for me, like the Speedhunters dash and the colour coded seats. I love the whole old school racer theme, it is clear to see that a lot of thought and research has gone into this and it has definitely paid off. The KM4SH kit looks great, i really like that rear diffuser.
Nice work guys!
I can't wait to see the real deal. Please bring it over to the UK when it is done. I'd love to see it up close :)

A. Definitely agree with the people saying less is more. Simple but striking. The others are a bit too much.

It's quite amazing to see how much of an underground sport drifting is in the UK still. Those that are in the know seem to really know their stuff, but there are many that still aren't aware that drifting is a legitimate thing. You were a great ambassador for the sport! A drift event at Goodwood would de awesome, I'm sure they could find the space somewhere! Obviously not on the hill climb course, it's way too tight. Which made your run up the hill all the more impressive by the way! I think I said that to you on the day. I have a video of it that I took on the day and I've watched it over and over. Never gets old :)

Great article. It was awesome to meet you at Goodwood Mike. You definitely stole the show, out of all the famous faces and cars the names I kept on hearing were Mad-Mike and his RX7. I hope you come back!
Watched Mike drift the entire hill climb on the Sunday. It was incredible. What was even better was that as soon as he came back down and parked up he was signing autographs and chatting with his fans. Such an awesome guy. Come back next year!

I loved the last gen MADBUL so much that I wasn't sure I was going to like this when I saw the original renderings. Now I've seen the finished product, I love it! This looks awesome!
Will you be bringing this to Goodwood next weekend Mike?
Don't normally like to fuel these internet fires but wanted to express my opinion. I really hate this kind of thing. I can't describe why. I just do not understand why anyone would want to do something like this. It baffles me that people think this looks good. I suppose it's because I know it's not supposed to look like that.. I once saw a Toyota Supra with an E60 5 series front end. Needless to say it was revolting.
Granted it is a clean build, I appreciate the time and effort, that it is his car he can do what he wants and he doesn't care what I think, that it is meant to divide opinion yadda yadda, all of that stuff that people are going to jump down my throat and say (so don't waste your time) but it is just not for me. People are going to call me a hater and tell me I just don't get it. I do hate it, and I don't get it.

More manufacturers in the sport is great, but I want Subaru and Mitsubishi back.

Not sure I agree that there is a lack of Evo's round here, (I can think of several awesome examples that have been featured recently) but more Subaru's, yes please! Can I also make a(nother) request for more Supra's? There's a car that gets overlooked on here.
Also, will you be having another European Tour this year? I went to Modified Live at Snetterton last year and had an awesome day. Players Show is at Goodwood again on the same day this year so I'm already planning to go. Would be great if you guys were there again.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not one of the people that is saying Kei Muira needs to change his style. I like that he has a signature look. @InnerToxicity Fair enough. It's just another one of those things that divides opinions I guess. I just think they're a bit of a gimmick, except nowadays most new cars have them so they're not even unique. I've never really understood the safety argument either, as I personally don't find it hard to see another car during the day. They're not like headlights at night, where you can see the car coming due to being able to see the headlights first, you only see the daytime running lights when you see the car, by then you already know it's there. They just seem pointless to me lol

I really wish the daytime running L.E.D phase would come to an abrupt end. I don't care what car they're on, an Audi R8 or a Citroen DS3, I think they look tacky and unnecessary.
I'm really enjoying this Garage and Workshop month on Speedhunters. I think this has to be my favourite feature so far. Very impressive what these guys have achieved especially when you find out that it's not their day job. Looks like a really cool set up. I'm definitely jealous.
P.S. - features on the S15 and blue FC (especially the FC) would be much appreciated. Sweet rides.

I want to thank Speedhunters (especially you Mike) for bringing Initial D to my attention. I recently found an English translation, and started reading. The Rocket Bunny fenders on this car make it look almost like the AMG Black Series version of the same model. Especially when you look at it head on. I'd have the Black Series over this anyday, but I really love this car. I think it looks great. I think the Rocket Bunny/Liberty Walk look works better on some cars than it does on others, and not at all on some (thinking Liberty Walk GTR) but I think it suits the CLK. Cool build!

Maybe it's just because I'm obsessed with them, but I always feel like there is somewhat of a lack of Supra's to be found on Speedhunters. Plenty of Skylines, RX7's, S-chassis, a GT86 in every other article (sorry), but never enough Supra's. So it was nice to see not only a Supra in the spotlight, but a really good example of one. Love the Nascar-style livery.
With what looks like the majority of this year's FD grid going to ZN6 variants, I have to say, Asia's line up is a lot more interesting.

One thing I've always felt with need for speed is that there is no way people who own cars such as the Veyron would race them in dangerous street races. I've always preferred the car lists in the earlier games, because they were more realistic. That being said, it is a video game, so who cares about realism. As for the film, I'm sure there's an explanation for how he gets his hands on such cars. The hero car is actually the Mustang, so that's a bit more believable.
However, and I mean no offence by this, but if you thought Fast 6 was realistic then I think you need to watch it again. It was SO bad because it was horrendously unrealistic. I was a die hard fan of the first film, the others up until 4 weren't that great but they were fun, 5 started getting stupid and when I went to see 6 I came out of the cinema angry that I had paid to sit through it. It was terrible. I doubt I will go and see 7.
Need for Speed looks like a traditional car film, not an action movie with ridiculous car stunts that defy the laws of physics, which is why I'm excited to go and see it.
1 year, 3 months ago on Destroying Million Dollar Hypercars?<br/>On Set With Need For Speed
Really, really love what you're doing here. An exciting partnership and venture no doubt, but I do agree with the people saying this particular car is a bit familiar. That's not to say that I don't like it. I do. I'm just bored of the 86 now. Yeah it's a great car, with lots of potential, but when so many are featured on these pages (and the pages of other sites - it's not a purely Speedhunters thing I'm moaning about!) it's hard to get excited about them.
That being said, I'm excited to see how far this can go. You said you have designed kits for a variety of equally exciting cars... I can't wait to find out what they are! Wishing Speedhunters and KM the best of luck with this!

I stopped reading at some point because I don't want to know what happens. I wont enjoy the scene as much if I know what's coming. But nevertheless, what I did read (mostly about the different types of car) was very interesting. Can't wait to see the movie
Loved the Wekfest Hawaii article, so I'm glad that made the top 10. Seeing as though I have yet to see The Goodwood Festival of Speed on this list and I doubt it will take the top spot, I'm a little disappointed it didn't make the cut. I know this has been done on page views but FOS really deserves more recognition in my opinion. Such a great event and definitely a motoring highlight of mine each year.

I definitely didn't appreciate this car enough the first time I saw it featured here on Speedhunters. Having read this article (and now re-read the previous two features) I definitely appreciate it now. I do somewhat agree with the people that say it is a shame that what was once a desirable and rare car will never be the same again, but the amount of work and skill put into this makes me think it's actually not too much of a loss. It is definitely a one of a kind, and it may not be to everyone's tastes, but at the end of the day it's your car and you have done what you wanted to it. I think at the very least you should be commended for the amount of time and effort you have put into the build. I love it.
1 year, 3 months ago on The LaSupra Build: Bodywork
@emination @Jordan_Burgess Yeah I saw that on my second read through, shame none were featured close up. I expected to see more F+F replicas too. I know no one in their right mind would own a Supra or Skyline etc. that looked like the ones in the films had those films not existed, so I'm not entirely surprised not to see any there, but as they did exist, there's something cool about seeing a replica in real life. It's like you would never do it to your own car, but because its someone else's and it's a famous movie car it's cool.
