We're been to the Kahala Wahoo's a fews times since I live in the area. I like the food and they have healthy choices too. But unfortunately we didn't go there for Cinco de Mayo.
It was very interesting what kind of products they produced with Lavender.

We were there too! My mom used to make gin dui but not anymore, too humbug. She'll be making jai this weeekend and she made jook and gao earlier in the week.

I always wanted to try there. Chinee NewYear brings back a lot of good memories. I my younger days I was part of the Lung Kong Physical Cultural club and performed the Lion dance and Kung Fu demonstrations all over the islands. Just hearing the drum beats gives me goose bumps. Do you know each club has their own drum beat? Just from hearing the drum beat in the distance over the others I can recongnize my former club even today.
I can't wait to eat my mom's Jai, it's better than anyplace else that I have eaten it.
