@Melissa808 @MyongChoi : I've been to Both..agreed.
@MyongChoi : Do you like it better than Home Bar? Our experience was mixed.
R U coming to Kitchen thur 11:30?
@nonstopmari : Not to worry we'll join you next time. Leaving for Kailua ..
Mari , two spaces please for tonight. Mahalo, Russ
Nice looking Drink (Guy Tai) but it has nothing to do with a REAL Mai Tai.
There is only Fresh Lime Juice used in the Trader Vic's & Don the Beachcomber recipes from 1940's.
If you want to experience a SCRATCH Mai Tai you can order them at Royal Hawaiian Mai Tai Bar or Halekulani. They're Strong but Damn Good!

Speaking of Chicken Livers? They are the secret ingredient in my favorite Lasagna. Recipe above.
Of course most Fugu is Farm-raised in Japan nowadays exclusive of the toxins and can be rather bland.
The last time we had "wild" fugu was at Urasawa in Beverly Hills about 10 yrs ago.
He quit getting it because customs kept seizing it.
His preparations consisted of Sashimi which made your tongue and fingers tingle and was very flavorful unlike the recent Japan experience.
Fried and last but not least Fugu Sperm Sack Risotto which was really good but unusual just the same.
Followed by O-Toro with Gold Flake and Beluga Caviar on top.
@Melissa808 : not yet but i do have my own Stems at their sister restaurant Ruth Chris (rr). Just held a Yelp Uye there last week, 24 ppl which packed the Bar.
Chef Mike is fantastic and doing great things with the menu. We went to MG recently and the food was better than ever.
Sure have and Dennis does have the best "exotic" $5- cup of coffee by far.
I love Beach Bum but not everyone can afford it.
Tango has the best $2.25 coffee by far....
Lewer's & 39 are both power drink makers. What about Azure or their Bar (Royal Hawaiian) ?
Best Coffee is made in a European Machine at Tango Cafe one cup at a time.
DianeSeo : it's more than size and price point. The flavors were uneven. Take the Stuffed Meatball for instance. Spiciness past the point of good flavor. Try the Meatball for $5- at Il Lupino which is almost twice as big and tastes great. The Caprese was the same story. Obviously it would be nice to see Prima do well but if they continue to shoot themselves in the foot they won't get a second chance from the finicky Kailua diners.
Ani's (best purple potato, coconut pie on the planet)
The Alley (best lemon crunch or better yet pumpkin crunch cake)
What else did we have? Almost the whole menu, no kidding. $300- for our group. I'm still in shock considering all my foodie friends that raved about this place. V-Lounge has declined in the last few months also. I don't understand it?
At least Sushi ii is still very dependable for small plates at logical prices.
We were at Prima last night and our group was underwhelmed with most of the dishes other than the Sweet Breads & Squid Cannelloni. Prices were on the high side and portions were on the small side.
Cat: Great Review. Spago is easily the best restaurant in Maui. We normally enjoy the Chef's menu which is several courses and takes 3 hrs to finish.
YUMMY!
We went last night and had a fabulous experience. Can't wait to do it again next month.
