I beleive in Body weight exercises, but have very bad knees. my body weight exercises consist mostly of water aerobics, exercises to strengthen the knees that my PT gave me, wall push ups, and what I think used to be called "flys" laying on the stomach, and raising the head, shoulders and arms out in front and the legs up in back to simulate superman flying. LOL
No jumps, no squats except wall squats which take about half the weight off the knees, and no lunges. I'm not sure but that lunges could be used if I modified them not to be so extreme but at my weight (still a hundred pounds to go, I'm waiting til I lose about fifty more before I try them.

Walmart sells some stuff bags near the register with clips that are very handy to clip to your keys. it would be a good way for your dad to remember his bags, if he lays or hangs his keys near the door when he comes in.
