Curious to see what the medial side of the shoe looks like. The 9's and 10's look cool in pictures, but awful on your feet when you look at the inside (all bunchy). It's like they design the lateral side and stop there. I liked the 7's and 8's in the hi's and lo's because they looked balanced. The lateral side is always going to look better, but there shouldn't be that much difference. I guess we'll see.
Really nice customs. Well done.
A side note for those thinking of hooping in these, they have no grip on an indoor court. I know they are not a basketball shoe, but I thought I'd give them a try. The clear sole definitely doesn't grip. Great comfortable shoe for just kicking around in though and I'm sure they'd be good for turf training.
The top pic demonstrates how the last 2 Lebrons look cool on their own but not so great on foot, especially on the medial side. Just my opinion.
What is Sea Glow?
Not to be a downer, but I don't think it's any of them. Just because you're a top 10 player in the league doesn't mean you get a sig. It takes talent but also marketability, being recognized by people that don't follow basketball. These are the guys, who are not just on the Olympic team, but the stars of the Olympic teams. It's not just enough to be an All-Star or Olympian, but to be the best of the All-Stars and Olympians. Those guys already have their signatures. The clostest to that is Blake Griffin because of the Kia ads, but big men don't sell shoes. Kyrie, although the best future point guard is not really that recognizable, plays in a small market on a mediocre team, and in his pepsi comercials you don't see him.
When I think signature shoe, I think game changers: Jordan, Lebron, Kobe, Penny, KD, Barkley, Iverson. Even guys that got signatures that are great haven't had success: T-mac, Melo, Wade, Howard, CP3. If I were a shoe company I'd sign these guys, have them wear their top shoes, make sick PE's and wait for the next game changer (who isn't here yet).
We have that same thing in Florida. We call it Summer.
I actually like these way better than the X Hi. I know I'm the minority, but the Lebron X is my least favorite in the last 4 years.
Where are the original rollerblade colors (Black with Purple and Orange accents)? Great concept though and I love the ratchet style strap.
Also, when Nike does a graphic inside the collar of a shoe it should be more vivid. Same thing happened with the Lebron Freegums. The graphic looks faded like when your printer is running low on ink.
The Kennedy Space Center is in Titusville about and hour east of Orlando
I thought the sleve was just a curtain they would pull away to reveal the shoe. I'm disappointed that I was wrong.
worst shirt ever!!!
Great injenuity and constuction. I'm curiuos about the things on the medial side of the midsole. Is that part of the battery pack? Awesome shoe!
Awesome spike. Agree with Kev Loco that the ankle strap is useless and probably uncomfortable running.
I'd like to see an article or permenant link on the homepage about the best and/or worst things you can do to preserve the life of your sneakers. I know there are a lot of collectors on here and they have a lot of proven do's and don'ts. How about it Sneakernews?
