Congrats to the team. I like the platform - its nice design, streamlined, seemingly interesting and high potential companies looking for funding. But I wonder why they raised so much money? $7.5 million seems like a lot to build out the technical team (of a product that doesn't appear "tech heavy"). Valuation has to be looking at big increase in numbers.... even assuming a generous 10% commission (Kickstarter charges 5% plus fees, a placement agent would take 5%-10%, not sure what CircleUp charges) the platform really needs to ramp up in size with the investment.
@jebbdykstra99 Probably because he was telling Scarborough to put his money where his mouth is. Old Joe is the one saying it's a toss-up. I'd not be surprised if Silver was willing to give odds though. Not that it matters. Joe won't take the bet - it's "trash talk"!
Maybe he was referring to HomeAway in Austin. Can anyone point me to info/research on the multiple differences he keeps mentioning. Thanks.
