@sirweezle I would Love for Nokia to make an Android phone too but something tells me they are in bed with Microsoft. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if Microsoft help keep Nokia a float. Who's to say they don't have some kind of a deal where Nokia must use Windows mobile for a while. It just doesn't make sense as to why the CEO would say no to Android.... it's not like it's a new o/s. It's been proven and people, like myself, enjoy it.
This isn't a good thing. Samsung shouldn't have even released a 16gb model. I have a 32gb S3 and even with a 64gb micro sd card I runĀ into issues because you can't install apps onto the micro sd card unless your rooted which I don't plan on doing. I guess if you're rooting your phone or plan on not installing many apps you'll be ok.
I will say this is a really great tablet for the price. I picked my up from Sam's Club on sale for $399 which I think was a good price due the features that it offers when compaired to the other Android tablets that are offered. There is NO WAY I would invest in an Ipad when this costs less in most cases but you get more, example, more memory and a micro sd card slot. I definitely recommend this tablet and would suggest to invest in a nice case for it like a Gumdrop case which is similar to an otterbox defender for a tablet, only cost a little less. I would say the only issue with the case is that it doesn't work if you get the detachable keyboard add on which for me wasn't a big deal.
@martigerusa Hopefully Las Vegas Nevada will be on the soon to deploy list. I want high speed Internet without the huge prices that Cox and Century Link want to charge me. Right now I use my Tmobile hotshot as my Internet, and although fast it does have its limits.
I think their next stop should be Las Vegas Nevada. It makes sense since they host CES here why not show off their stuff to the rest of the electronic world.
I plan on getting one just so I can get my old school gaming on using my phone and it's mhl capability. I currently own a moga now and it's awesome but with a standard size controller I think it will improve the experience when using the TV.
Unfortunately I have Tmobile so by the time they release this version of Android for my S3 it'll probably be old. As long as it comes though that is the important thing, better late than never.
I hope they open a Google store here in Las Vegas Nevada. Heck I'd even apply to work their with my 13 years of Retail and Customer Service experience. Someone at my work calls me Mr. Google already. LOL
I think this is Awesome. Hopefully it takes off and we will see more and more stadiums being mapped out from all types of sporting arenas.
This news is exciting. While I haven't owned a Motorola phone since my very first phone with Tmobile back in 2004, this is something I would consider to buy if it's as revolutionary as they are claiming. Personally I feel the original Nexus One was a game changer because no phone came close to its specs and features. If Google can pull this off with the X and give us that same feeling then I will be all over it.
Now the BIG question.... will they fly themselves? LOL
@liszewskishanne that's what I am thinking. A chrome Android... makes sense.
@MatteoRodrigo I ran into the same situation. However I was able to download it from Amazon's app market. One bug I noticed is that it doesn't let you fully exit the app unless you kill it. Also on my Galaxy S3 every now and then I'll see a little hiccup but not enough to affect the game play.
I think this is a pretty cool idea. I personally wouldn't mind picking one up, although it may be a bit since I am tight on cash right now.
@Bratty, actually, from my understanding the Straight Talk versions of the iphones will not use either At&t or T mobile but will use the Verizon network. And this is coming from a someone I know who works for the company. I still find it pretty Awesome that they are carrying both versions of the iphone. While I am not a big iphone fan, this is good for anyone who wants the phone without having to pay a huge bill every month to use it.
Sounds like Sony has a nice phone on their hands. Hopefully it'll be a part of the Tmobile lineup in the future.
I am impressed and if the price is right I might actually give them a shot. I like the competition and now it looks like some of the big dogs may be getting some from the lower end manufacturers in the phone business.
Ever since the update to Jelly Bean on Tmobile I get the message of how I have insufficient memory when trying to update or install apps once my memory hits around 400mb on my 32gb model. I don't get it because I have plenty of memory left. It's bad when I need to update an app that is only a few mbs but it says I have insufficient memory. The only thing that helps now is to install then reinstall or use an app that cleans the cache, etc.
While I am a proud owner of a Galaxy S3, I agree, the Note 2 should have been on the list. As fast as phones come out it's hard to pick the best of since there may be too many to choose from. I personally would have made the S3 number 2 because it did so well in sales and the Note 2 number 3. While I am not a huge fan of LG and the newest Nexus phone, I agree it being number 1 since it has done so well. If it wasn't pure Vanilla though it probably wouldn't have done as good as it has, nor have even made it as one of the top Android phones of 2012.
I think it's a cool concept. While it's true there are newer chipsets just around the corner, that shouldn't stop people from developing for the OUYA. After all there are still a lot of Android users in general who play games on their phones and tablets that don't even have a Tegra 3 processor in them, yet the development is still strong. I think this will be a hot selling system with a decent price tag. Myself, I use my Samsung Galaxy S3 for games and with the MOGA controller it's like a portable console. I also discovered a way to use it as a home console with the MOGA controller so I can play all the emulators as if they were the actual systems but it saves on space.
