Nice tips for cloud monitoring, thank you! I stepped here via another post where I mentioned Cloud Manager, a smartphone app which we built to adress the multiple-vendors-with-different-cloud-services dilemma. Our approach was to build a middleware that unites a range of providers (public and private clouds) and can be accessed via a single smartphone user interface. GoGrid, Amazon, Rackspace and many others are supported. Cloud Manager is another solution focussed on managing and monitoring hybrid cloud environments. It supports public and private cloud types and also a range of different cloud providers like GoGrid, Amazon or Rackspace.
At 2kit we found that point 3 - Management Tools is a core issue to clients, because client users (which means administrators in this case) heavily rely on efficient management platforms to control their classical environment. Without streamlined and flexible tools to manage clouds, especially hybrid environments, there is little chance to win operative users over the benefits of a cloud. That is why we dig to dig into hybrid cloud tools research and developed an app called Cloud Manager. I believe it is the first mobile tool which allows managing and monitoring the core services of a hybrid cloud environment. It supports a range of private and public clouds like amazon, rackspace and vmware which can all be controlled via a unified user interface on iPhone or Android-powered devices.
