It didn't look like Stevenson was leading for most of the race. It went back and forth between Zach and Barry, until Zach gapped Barry in the last lap to win by around 12 seconds.

Oh and everyone is mad because the top ranked rider in the world said it pissed him off and he might not bother coming back. But I guess pros and good riders are just 'dumbing down' CX and stopping it being fun, right?

Every race you've been to in the US has beer spraying at the racers? And you don't think this is a problem? I can see how those who enjoy that sort of dumbass behaviour might say that is how cross is 'kept fun' but I honestly don't see what it adds at all.
Also, did your Instagram post, as someone mentioned here, talk about spraying beer?
This whole 'it's Vegas' attitude is super lame, like it excuses anything.
He seems to perpetuate a pretty bro-ish attitude so this wouldn't surprise me.
Anthony, that doesn't make this right.
Whatever about captioning a photo, but look at the jackass doing it. I bet they don't have anything to do with CX for the rest of the year and I'd put good money on them being some kind of industry bro. Fucking disrespectful of the riders and of the sport. There's lots of space for fun in CX (see Adam Craig grabbing a dollar handup yesterday, see friendly heckling, see the awesome rider/fan interaction in hundreds of races across North America) but when your first instinct when given a beer is to spray it over a competitor then I'm not sure you're mature enough to be even drinking beer.
Glad Zach has a team. Was slightly worried we might not see him this season.

I wonder how Compton coped being on stage with a Trek bike with a Shimano groupset. Afterall, she quite enjoyed throwing Shimano under the bus back in 2012...
"As far as Compton’s return to SRAM, she says, “I missed my SRAM RED. Last year I was not racing on RED and I was dropping my chain regularly, I couldn’t be sure of when I shifted, and I just never had a good feeling."

What's with some of the bikes in the photos clearly having shifters and front and rear mechs?

@smipypr It's not cheating if you're within the course tape. Why does this seem to be so hard for everyone to understand?

I mean, if you're good enough, get your own deal. You don't get a free bike just because your wife is a decent cyclist.

I wonder if the constant changing of sponsors has anything to do with her deal also requiring her husband to get a free bike too, as she mentions in this interview from a couple of years back: http://www.cxmagazine.com/katie-compton-talks-about-her-sponsorship-search
