@NotBatman @PagansOedipalComplex He's in AA right now. But 12 k & 1 BB in 34 plate appearances so far.

They think nobody will take him. Or setting up a trade. Or just gave up on him.
1 day, 16 hours ago on Braves @ Dodgers July 29, 2014: Send A Search Party For Andre Ethier
Seeing the K's in this context is very helpful. Makes me a lot happier about keeping Kemp.
1 day, 23 hours ago on Matt Kemp’s Offense Is Not The Problem
@InsideThePark (Rice A Roni) If he hits .221/.288/.326 vs. lefties what does it matter what side of the plate he stands on?
5 days, 17 hours ago on The Dodgers And Giants, Together At Last
@Jeremy_N Every time the phone rings about something, Ned says "how about we just throw Kemp in that deal too?"
1 week, 1 day ago on Down On The Farm: 7/14 – 7/20 – Pederson back with bang, Bellinger can’t be stopped
You're describing a 6 WAR player with those grades. Something like .310/.375/.520 with +5 runs saved above average at SS/3B and average baserunning. Very exciting to see consensus opinion so high on him.
1 week, 6 days ago on Dodgers’ prospect scouting report July 2014: Corey Seager
@Purple Drank (2014 MSTY Poster of the Year) @Dustin Nosler Stumpo likes Seager. That's just 3 words though. Not sure what I'd say for the next 997.
2 weeks ago on Down On The Farm: 7/7 – 7/13 – Seager rises, Pederson & Guerrero return
So given 3 top 20 prospects, you could hope that maybe one turns into a sort-of-good player? My money's on Seager.

@Mike Petriello @CodyStumpo Which one is worse than Matt Kemp?
2 months, 1 week ago on Andre Ethier Might Actually Be The Best Dodger Center Fielder. Really.
Two other options in CF - Scott Van Slyke and Dee Gordon.
Dee Gordon looks like somewhere between average and poor as a defensive second baseman. Guerrero shouldn't have to be perfect in all ways to get a shot, just likely to be the best overall option.
2 months, 1 week ago on What Will The Dodgers Do With Dee Gordon & Alex Guerrero?
@Mike Petriello @capnsparrow @Internet Dork Lobo (DO YOU EVEN GO TO GAMES BRAH?) Let's all have a contest. I've seen the Dodgers in at least 13 I can remember.

Alternate universe conclusion: hopefully that is completely tied to his back problems, a very treatable condition for our ace training staff.
2 months, 2 weeks ago on Dan Haren’s Strikeout Problem
@Dave! (but probably Justin Turner, maybe) @CodyStumpo It's an imperfect world. What I lay out is more attractive than Turner / Figgins / Triunfel / Rojas all in all.
2 months, 3 weeks ago on Reminder That The Dodgers Have No Third Base Depth
There's this Hanley Ramirez guy on the roster that's played 3B in 100 major league games. Gordon to SS, Guerrero to 2B. Get 'er done.
@Purple Drank They could just change the rules, make it like football. One squad for offense, one squad for defense.
2 months, 3 weeks ago on Down On The Farm Update: Games Of 4/28 – 5/4

@Hoze So...why not just use Billingsley? (make do until he's ready)
6 months ago on One Month Until Dodger Baseball
I'd like to know why League suddenly can't strike anybody out. He was always slightly subpar there, but last year his swing and miss ability just tanked. Velocity is a little down, but would it make that much difference? What about movement on each pitch? What about his overall pitch mix, what about his scenario-specific pitch mix. How about his mechanics? Maybe look into that, team up with Chad.
Is there something he is doing differently that is causing the problem, where he can revert to a better approach?

@JoeyE @DBrim Eaton has good chance to be 3-4 win player. Trumbo at 1B might be >2, but used in LF he is <2.
@Lobo @CodyStumpo It is identical to Uribe's, .299.
7 months, 3 weeks ago on Come On Back, Jamey Wright
Hey, Trumbo owns a 3B mitt. Angels want to trade him.
Zimmerman for Kemp makes a lot of sense. See who's shoulder heals first. Bet $100M on it!
7 months, 3 weeks ago on Matt Kemp Still A Dodger, David Price Still Not
@ JohnM @Mike Petriello I don't know how he'll age to 2023 (!) but he'll probably opt out in 2018 anyway. So look at him as signed for 4/$51.5 for ages 25-28 and probably putting up 3-4.5 WAR per year. That's a very team-friendly deal. (If he were a free agent looking for a 4-yr deal, what would he get? $70M?). There is a possible downside, that he stops being fast and you're on the hook for the other 6/$88 of a 29-34 yr. old SS.
8 months, 2 weeks ago on Let The “Hanley Ramirez To Third Base” Speculation Begin
@Tony Fernandez (MSTY Most Informative Poster) @DBrim @PuntoForPresident (PuigForPrimeMinister) Uribe showed extraordinary humility in reworking his fundamental approach. Took his preparation seriously, waited for his pitch, went up the middle. McGwire gets a lot of credit here. But Uribe himself too. Not many veteran MLB players have that kind of humility. Although 2 years of being the worst player in the league will do that I guess.
8 months, 4 weeks ago on Elian Herrera Is Gone Now, In Case You Cared
We get to the playoffs as is. Could use 1 more trustable sp once we get there, but 2 is kind of pointless. Billz is probably going to be that for us anyway. Big need is 3b and rp
9 months ago on Here’s Why You Don’t Want David Price
@Hoze @CodyStumpo Well no, of course if you're only going to give him 200 PA, then he'll only provide ~0.7 WAR and only be worth paying ~$3M for. But the point is you should be able to trade him for something good since he at that point has a slightly team-favorable contract a lot of other teams looking for a starting 2B would like to have. (I say that not being familiar with the starting 2B situation for all 29 other teams).
9 months ago on The Dodgers Probably Won’t Exercise Mark Ellis’ Option, But…
From a pure financial option point of view, Mark Ellis's expected value next year is greater than his strike price. "A win or two" above replacement is worth $7M on the open market.
@TheConman @CodyStumpo @Mackyla (Sinful Clubhouse Lesbian) Lawrie is very good defensive 3B, so no need/use for him to playthere lately. But I imagine he remembers how.

@Mackyla (Sinful Clubhouse Lesbian) @CodyStumpo 386 games in the majors at third base.
@Mackyla (Sinful Clubhouse Lesbian) @CodyStumpo As third base.
@EephusBlue I'd like to think so, just to give me something to be mad at Mattingly for. Especially in light of option vesting with NLDS win. Also, all year leaving him in when game was effectively won, to "protect the bullpen." You know what, let the bullpen freaking protect Kershaw!
@Mackyla (Sinful Clubhouse Lesbian) @CodyStumpo http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/mets/post/_/id/79015/make-the-call-sandy-jose-bautista
