Belt's gonna hold down that position for the next several years. Reminds me of Matt Williams many years ago - took him a long time to lay off the slider a foot off of the plate, but when he did, he was a great hitter, and even when he didn't hit, he played a spectacular 3B. Just as last year, Belt will start hitting and take more walks too. In another year, I project him as a .280/.360/.500 hitter, which in combination with his excellent defense will make Giants fans forget about his slumps this year and last. As "bad" as he was made out to be last year, he still finished with an OPS of .781.
