Webber attacked Vettel several times in the closing laps of the race at Silverstone - won by Ferrari's Fernando Alonso - despite being told to back off.

He later strongly defended his actions, saying that had Alonso retired, he and Vettel would have been fighting for victory.

The defending British champion was unrepentant and was reprimanded by team boss Christian Horner, who said he was “surprised” at the Australian's actions.

“I'm surprised at what he did, so it's something he and I will talk about in private,” Horner said.

“At the end of the day, the team is the biggest thing. No individual is bigger than the team.

“I can understand Mark's frustration in that, but had it been the other way round, it would have been exactly the same.

Webber maintains his action was justified.

“Of course I ignored the team as I want to try and get another place,” Webber said.

“Of course they (the team) want the points, but I also need to try and get some more as well.”

Webber said the order had not gone down well and he was sure he could have passed Vettel without taking either car out.

“I am not fine with it,” he said. “No...If Fernando retires in the last lap we are battling for the victory so I was fine until the end.

@F1_is_not_a_procession  @FunctionFirst  If your team boss, you put your foot down and tell them both to STFU and listen to orders. If your a driver you can ether drive H.A.M. or pretend your really driving hard but really your not because your dancing to the tune of a fiddler and slowly chip away at your self dignity as a driver. If you care about that sort of thing.

@phyodabomb If your out to do that only and not win, then why are you a race car driver? Webber did get sucker punched no question about that, but he has done that before himself and destroyed both cars in the process.

A lot of people act like Vettel drowned a baby in a bathtub. It is a race, you race to win. This is not the first time this has happened in formula 1 or any other Motorsports for that matter and it won't be the last. That was dame good racing between them two. Would everyone rather have a simple free pass or no passing at all? Hint: the answer isn't A or B. If I were Lewis, I wouldn't feel I earned that 3rd place.

We went from people b*tching about too many 240sx and sr20s too bitching about too many v8s and not enough originality. There are still a ton of grass root drifting events left around the world. One word "Google". Dino you need to educate some of these people more about why drifting has come to the point it is at now and that the origins it started from still exist. Don't these people come on here and ruin a good post and saying you don't do enough of this or you do too much of that.

@RodChong  @EthanGuzzi  @Johnjusto  Google is a powerful tool, try using it sometime. MSC has their own website and if you use Google it will automatically translate. Wrecked.com covers formula D asia, Formula D and has alot of drifting news. Hell if you use Facebook and like a bunch of drifting pages the news pops right up on your feed. 2013 and people still can't use Google. Speed Hunters does enough for bringing you coverage that you normally wouldn't get anywhere else. Stop complaining. If speed hunters never existed what would you be doing now?

@speedhunters_dino  @Autolegend  @varilight  Some people just can't enjoy a good post. If your so desperate for Motorsports in which you consider "A Class." There are Many websites out there, ie: Motorsport.com covers everything in which you just ranted about. Speed hunters tries to bring you news in motorsports through their lens (eyes) and cover some things that would never get covered at all. If you don't like drifting that is fine but do not come and rant on someones posting saying they don't cover enough of certain motorsport. Just don't click.

Your kidding me right? You guys need to stop complaining about the V8 overtaking F.D thing. Your watching drifting not engine wars. It takes skills to drift no matter what engine is inside and last I checked D1GP has inline 6's that run power far greater then some of the V8 in formula D + some run V8s in D1GP.
