I used Open Office for several years and tried to add the grammar-checking add-on with no success. It was only when I changed to LibreOffice that I was able to do so.

 

I had NO problems with OO and preferred it to MSWord. So far, I see no real difference between the two programs other than being able to grammar check with OO.
