My worst money mistake was financing a 25K car with zero down and a low wage job in my early 20s.  I did learn a lot from it so I suppose I wouldn't change anything!

I'm a night owl but I have to work during the day because the kids are at school/daycare.  What I've been doing lately is working 8-3 then a few hours each night after the kids go to bed.  Sometimes I can be crazy productive during the 8-10pm hour!

We paid the minimum on our loans for a while then got really sick of the payments.  IMO, paying a minimum payment on something for 10-15 years is demoralizing unless I can live in it =)

I quit my job for a variety of reasons, but it wasn't really to "start a business" necessarily.  I already had one.  I just wanted the freedom to work on my own schedule and get away from the 9-5 grind.  I just put my daughter on the bus this morning and literally came inside to start working.  At my old job, I would never be able to put her on the bus and be waiting outside for the bus to drop her off.  That feeling is priceless.

I am amazed that you continue to keep your babies at home while you work.  Don't feel bad about hiring a helper.  I'd have those babies out the door to daycare so fast!  I cannot work with my kids here.  It simply does not happen.  They talk though, so perhaps that is the difference =)

I agree with both of those!

I know a girl who blabs about how much she hates her job on Facebook all the time.  I can't help but think the wrong will person will see it and get her fired one day.  I know that has nothing to do with job interviews, but I think it's related!

I also agree that a nicely written note is an excellent gesture.
