From a TV negotiation standpoint is there an advantage in doing it this way?  For example, could the SEC Network and/or the eventual new CBS package (not sure when that will be) have rates based on 8 games now, but then Slive adds another game later after the market value goes up, thus opening the door for more TV inventory at a higher price?

This also correlates with one of the strenghts of the SEC, which is a similar culture, that enourgages other schools to pull for their conference mates when going up against OOC teams in the northeast, left coast, or rust belt.  I'm glad this is a major factor for Slive, along with the TV dollars, when expanding the conference foot print during realignment.

Its too bad the SEC can't get matched with a PAC 12 team in the Las Vegas bowl.  An SEC fan base invading that place would be great.

Va Tech would make a great permanent cross division east rival for TAMU since they are the only other BCS caliber senior military college and the two schools have a lot in common.

Since most of the Big 12 is part of the midwest, then a city like St. Louis or KC maybe worth looking at too, if the location is going to change each year.
