why is there no mention of the changes to the medial side?

the whole outsole was cut, an extra ridge was added to make it look like a mirror of the lateral side, and the screen print is horrific!

put that in your post!!!

@Ahnubis you're right about the different weave, that goes without saying. now why did Nike change the weave pattern on this retro, only to put the correct pattern on the lebron miami nights?

because this is a screen print rather than the proper wrapping seen on the miami nights which is the closest to the og flightposite carbon fiber.

i own three pairs of og CF's and i can tell you, the pattern makes the shoe. this new one looks like a checkerboard rather than a weave. couple that together with the outsole change.....this is a lazy retro from Nike cause they cut corners they didn't have to.

@AlexisGonzalez  agreed! as a big collector of Flightposite 1's, this is a sad and lazy attempt to pacify the failure of the flightposite exposed. They simply just added the zippered shroud back but kept the actual exposed upper mold.

Sneakernews obviously needed to do more research before stating that "the original build is indeed making its way back around."

Wrong! this is not the original mold, they completely redesigned the medial side of the shoe and then hope no one notices.

Nike won't get my money on these.

This is going to be a good year. This is by far my most favorite model from the Air Max line. I've managed to collect a few og pairs while waiting for these to get a retro line. It's about damn time. Thank you! and much props for not butchering them either.

@Da_Real_Big_Infinite I agree, they didnt give us the og colorway when they dropped them in a regular build....and now they slap us in the face again by dropping the og colorway with this retooled version.

Foams are dead....these would've been great three years ago. Now they're just mediocre. Decent work on the blue sole though.

Awesome, I hope that someone at Nike sees this and makes a true to form retro happen. This is a cult classic of the air max line. Please bring these back in their original style, no upgrades, no changes, no air max 360 units, just regular AM97 full length air max units and synthetic materials as they were originally.

can you tell this is my favorite Nike ever? thanks for the proper credit for the pics
