Great article and good points being made as usual Nick.  Any particular AR type platform that you would recommend out of experience?

I hope it's only temporary Jack, that's all I have to say?  Although, you'd think they could find a better place for it?  Like anything else, people forget about the sacrifices that were made, and take the life we have in the U.S. for granted. (once again)  I'm glad to say, I'm not one of those people.  Although, I'm only a civilian, I have the utmost respect for everyone who serves, especially our Special Operations folks.  A statue will not bestow you the honor you all deserve, but it would help if it were somewhere visible to help people remember, at the very least? Get in touch with Rudy Giuliani, I bet he could make something happen?

Good article Blake. I'm sorry to hear about those you fought side by side with over there man, we can only hope and pray they continued to follow your lead and do as they were instructed to survive?  Not many people think about that side of the burden you guys face?  It's a good point you brought to light.  I for one would be interested in hearing about some of these men from your point of view, possibly changing there names for OpSec?  Sorry, I know that might be tough for you, but it would honor them in a way as well? Yes?  Take good care, great read as always.

Thanks for the heads up 14C,  I'll look out for this on NatGeo.  Just getting done reading this book, http://www.amazon.com/Matt-J.-Martin/e/B003TX6I1K  Lt Col Martin discusses how they used drones for base defense, but found it difficult to co-ordinate with other services to get the bad guys, quickly enough?  I wonder if this group was born out of that need?

Each day, I become older and hopefully wiser?  Each day, I cherish our country more and more, as well as the people in it.  Especially those people who have served, along with there family's.  I understand the sacrifice and the price that was paid, for the life I have as a civilian.  Each Memorial Day seems to be more solemn than the last.  I know I'm surrounded by many of the same kind of people here...and it's an honor to be among you all.

Kerry, Thank You for pointing such cases out.  Judging by what has been very briefly discussed in SOFREP radio sessions, we'll be seeing some fallout eventually with all this stuff.  You make a good point about it and set the stage appropriately.  One thing that comes to mind when I read this stuff, is that the opposition, no matter who it is, faces no such charges, except the wrath of the U.S. Soldier who's brother or sister they have maimed or killed.  I can't speak to this personally...but, I'm sure many would've done the same, after all, it is War.

I watched Deval Patrick (Governor of Ma.) before Obama came on and that turned me off enough to not watch the SOTU.  Same old political B.S. being slung around.  There was no change during his 8 years of presidency.  He said he'd do things...he didn't. People, I know who voted for him regret the fact that they did.  How pathetic is that to admit?  Our country needs some real leadership and quickly. We need term limits in our senate and house, so people remember why they are there, to represent the people of there states and not further themselves.  In short...I'm glad I didn't miss anything.  Thanks for the write up though....sounds like something I would write...bwaah ha haa!

Thanks for a great read man and a big Thank You, to everyone who was involved with that operation. I'm sure that there are many readers/members of this site, who knew such possible operations existed, but that we would never, ever know about them.  They should be recognized as part of the team, and know that there ARE people out there thinking of them and those like them, and realize the value all there hard work.

A small note:

When I did the "Freedom Run" this past spring in Cambridge, Ma with the Glen Doherty Memorial Foundation. (two weeks after the bombing)  I met some of Glen's friends, and they told me Glen didn't think anyone cared about what he did, or even paid attention to it? He didn't know there was a sub culture of Patriots, like many you,who have the highest level of respect, for him and those like him, Brandon and the countless others. (partly because it's all secret squirrel shit and we probably shouldn't know....lol)  That being said, I wish he knew that...and I hope other's like him, who get to read this, understand there are many others like me. The fact that his family hasn't been paid any benefits because of politics make me ill, and embarrassed of our so called "leader ship".

I do a set routine pretty much and yes, sometimes I don't want to go, especially during winter month's on the East Coast. (Short, dark, cold days)  All I have to do is make it to the gym and it's like autopilot kicks in.  That's good and bad...but at least I got through it, and I feel much better and more energetic when I'm done.  Some day's are better than others no doubt...one thing is for sure and it's this.

"Ultimately I’ve been able to stay in shape because of my commitment to lifelong fitness. I’ve accepted that there are no shortcuts and there is no way around putting in the time everyday. Your body is a foundational element of your life and if you let it go it will let you go. Try and skip it so that you can make more money and watch more TV and it will bite you in your fat ass!"
