Good grief this tired ole subject again???? Dude let it go! As a MSU fan I would much rather play in a crappy bowl than play a ninth conference game. You like to question your reader's comprehension skills - look in the mirror pal. The conference has spoken, your opinion has no impact, and the SEC will continue to open the gap with the competition.
Hmmmm lets see - ohio state beats Maryland for the ninth conference win while aTm beats La Tech - so what!!!! If you have to select between these two for the final spot in the four this game has little impact when aTm has lsu and bama on the schedule while osu has mich and mich state.
Btw - if you plan to compete for a championship you better be smart enough to not schedule 4 swac teams. But if you're struggling to get 6 wins you should have that option.
You're asuming the betting public is equivalent to the obama electorate - clueless and uninformed. Its true bama gumps probably load up on the tide weekly but theyre little fish. If the line was too ridiculus the whales would kill. For the most part their "predictions" are pretty good and are close to the computer relative strength of teams. Unlike the computers, they account for home field advantage, injuries, and rivalries.

Curious why no mention of the intentional twist of the knee by UM's elston? Obvious dirty play and he should be suspended and azzz whipping.

John - you really think a big 10 eight game schedule is comparable to an SEC schedule? Much like notre dame the buckeyes probable feel that feasting on illinois and indiana will not cut it with the computers.
I love the 5 and 8 pmct slots and would take it 100 out of 100 times. The 11 and 1121am ct are only good for teams other than yours.
@buddha22 John must have run out of schedule smack so now he's on jersey smack. For some reason he enjoys digs on MSU. I know...I know.....everybody thinks the media is out to get them - we've heard it before.
I'm on the SOS bandwagon here. He's always been my favorite coach and with these latest actions he just solidified it more. I love someone that marches to their own drummer and if he can backhand a few media hacks at the same time then more the better. It has my experience that some of these old school state paper people feel like theyre entitled to unfettered access and pout when they dont get it. As an internet age fan, we dont care how it was done back in the day or what unwritten rule your idols followed. We get more information from twitter, facebook, and message boards, usually faster, more accurate and sometimes first hand. So if some ole fart still using white-out is missing out on coach-speak to help perpetuate his agenda I couldnt care less. You old guys need to figure out the rules have changed and the fishwrapper is dead. Btw, I'll keep paying 10 bucks /month for my rivals access but will never pay for access to any newspaper pages.

@John at MrSEC What if said team only has 2 SEC wins in addition to 4 cupcakes? How will the selection committee handle that scenario? When u reach a level to where u start to worry about style wins then it is probably a good idea to add style teams otherwise ensure that u dont spend the holidays bragging about the last win against OMU.
Wow 3 SECW teams in the top 10! And most of the remaining SEC teams ranked or getting votes. Makes one wonder why u would ever have to worry about an SEC team's SOS!
@John at MrSEC @Jeff Boles What about this subject is not sinking in? Doesnt fit ur agenda? State fans love our schedule and show that love by continuously selling out the stadium? So exactly how is it a schedule problem when jsu returns some of their allotment? Maybe it was auburn fans or utenn fans that returned? Think first then add commet s - otherwise just provide the links and continue to save me the hassle of multiple bookmarks.
