@JohnM I think the Dodgers expectations of Puig have to be greater than they've stated publicly. I doubt Logan White would have given a 42M green light to a player as distant from the majors as a high schooler.
Victorino makes more sense for the Dodgers than Pence or Soriano. If Yasiel Puig meets expectations next season, the last thing you want is a Vernon Wells-type situation you either eat a season-plus of a backloaded contract or block the young talent from playing on principle.
