The squared off toe has ruined the shape of the Air Max 1. I'd love to know why the designers have changed it - how does it improve the shoe?
What happened to the rest of the air bubble?
Clown shoes
The original Maxims were made to a similar design to the Air Max but using more lightweight materials, so you can see on the blue CW in that link the "quarter" and "base" parts aren't as bulky as on the red pair. On the blue pair these parts are so thin you can see the colour of your socks through them.
But these APC Air "Maxims" - from these pics anyway - look like they're made with regular Air Max heavier materials.
These are perfect - looks like I'm gonna have to just pay whatever they cost...
I've been begging for a premium all white air max 1 for years, these look like they could be great. Thing is do I want to pay through the nose for them?
The mesh on recent air maxes looks cheap as shit - Love this CW but might have to pass, it doesn't stand up well next to the retro from 2007...
These are both fantastic, the purples are probably edging it for me though.
White tongue?
They need to retro these with the huge air bubble the actual OGs had...
That's a "leather" toebox though right? Not the nylon that the original shoe had....
As ever with Nike retros, so near and yet so far.
The "Summit White/Black - Black" are ruined by the black midsole. All white midsole or don't bother!
Massively underwhelming...
These would look infinitely better with the colours flipped - all white base with obsidian detail...
Absolutely wetting myself in anticipation of these. This and the air max 87 are tied as my all time favourite shoe, I'm thinking I'll have to at least double up on these since they get released so rarely!
The mustard yellow and the all greys are just mouthwatering, whose cretinous idea was it to not release these?!
Nicest pair of Air Max I've seen in a loooooong time
Not a big fan of most of these new materials and revamped classics, but these look bloody lovely!
