@Cincinnatus33 I am sorry for bringing this up, but there is a world of difference between the average median salary in SF and the minimum wage salary in SF.
@MikeClark2 the matters like insurance are not for people that realized they will be "pretty stupid not to carry auto insurance". It's a protection for citizens who may suffer from a criminal or someone without clear understanding what they are doing. When there are no enforceable laws things may turn pretty ugly because everyone will protect themselves to the extend they've been taught in life. Have you ever seen a fist fight over a small accident right in the middle of the road? I happened to grow up in a wild country and have seen plenty of those.... where the auto insurance wasn't mandatory.

Yapstone , aka rentpayment.com, is actually pretty big in the vacation rental industry. We've been using them for the last couple of years and they deliver good rates and great understanding of this market niche. Keep doing great work, guys!

Kinda too blunt of a statement: "There will be no Instagram built in this section of the economy". I bet this is exactly what Kevin Systrom has heard back as a contractive feedback while all these photo sharing companies kept failing one after another...

Right On, Erin! Very cheerful article! A lot of great stuff accomplished here at WeWork and in the NYC techie scene!

Is the article really about the annoying cult of disruption or a personal opinion on what it takes to be Rand:)? If the first point takes precedence, then my comment is it's not uncommon for a disruptor to disappear as fast as they gain their fame. Was napster called a disruptor back then or the word was not invented yet?

Another piece of art to mention is Peretti's analogy on marketing techniques from different religions:) That was fun!

@Joe Mellin That's awesome! I dropped by your SF office just prior to 4th of July, wanted to meet up in person. It's good you're on a mission to visit NYC. Welcome!
