@Frank J Lapidus  @LA Woman  @EephusBlue This team has about as much talent as anyone in the league. It was starting to come together at the end but just didn't happen soon enough. Wasn't our year. Next year will be. Give this lineup a full year so that the highs and lows get a chance to even out.

@EephusBlue  @Frank J Lapidus  @LA Woman What we're gonna do is hope the offense is as good as it looks on paper, and lean hard on Kershaw.

@EephusBlue Has his swing always featured him using the bat to stop himself from falling over when he swings and misses? It seemed like he was crazy off-balance on some of the hacks he took. Struck me as pressing too hard.

@plaza234  Why don't we wait until the offseason before we decide what ownership is willing to spend? They've already proven doubters wrong several times over. Remember when people were saying they wouldn't want to spend big because they spent so much money to buy the team? How'd that prediction turn out?

I've said it repeatedly here, the luxury tax is a joke and I believe the Dodgers will (continue to) treat it as such. Greinke signing could easily still be forthcoming. And can you honestly say that if they had signed Hamilton you wouldn't have complained about THAT contract clogging up the books for the next decade?

@EephusBlue  @Frank J Lapidus  @Dirtbag_Blues Obviously they wouldn't work out to their detriment, so I guess I oversimplified what I was trying to say. Steroids mimic the body's natural recovery process from weightlifting, which both accelerates progress and allows quicker recovery so that workouts can be stacked closer together. At least that's my understanding of it. I've never used them but I've spent a lot of time in weight rooms talking to people who do. Surprising how much chemistry a meathead will learn to get a little meatier.

@EephusBlue Didn't he have the longest consecutive starts streak in the majors before the hammy this year? It must be especially hard for someone who I'm sure is not used to his body betraying him. He had big plans for this year and was delivering in April. Gotta feel for him. I think he'll come into next season on a mission.

@EephusBlue  @Frank J Lapidus  @Dirtbag_Blues Speeding up recovery IS for power. The more frequently you can lift and keep building muscle, the better.

@LA Woman  @Dirtbag_Blues I really believe that the team will be great again like you say. I didn't believe that at all a year ago when McCourt was splitting up all the team's properties to exploit them, the farm system was basically shot, and the Dodgers were being run like they were the Pirates or the Royals. This ownership group has been such a blessing already. I hope they keep building on the fantastic start.

@Frank J Lapidus  @WestonTaylor  @EephusBlue Bobby Abreu batting third in a significant number of games doomed them too. It's hard to remember because the team has changed so much, but man was it rough when Kemp was out.

@WestonTaylor I mean, it happened in Miami, so it's not inconceivable or anything. He can be a frustrating guy to watch at times because of his talent. But I think he'll keep on balling. More worried about Gonzalez, if anything, because more is expected of him and he seems like, I dunno, a gentler soul or something.

Also what was the deal with Hanley and that rake in the dugout 9th inning?

@DodgersKingsoftheGalaxy  @KungFu Panza  It's much more like "mixed" than "shit". He's made some good moves, some bad moves. So has every GM in the league. The team has been on a mostly upward trajectory throughout his time here except for when he was operating under the worst financial constraints. I'd say he's doing a pretty good job.
