"...I had breakfast. I played with my kids. I had a real conversation with my wife. I then dropped my kids off at school at 7:45 – the earliest time in months". Sometimes THIS is what it's all about. Great to connect with you DJ and I can't wait to grab that beer or coffee soon.

Great job Keri! I think it was important for Twitter to make these changes. The masses are scared of Twitter a bit because of hashtags, replies, tweet chats, etc... this new design should make it bit more familiar for people (Facebook) which will hopefully encourage people to dip their toes into the Twittersphere a bit. :)

Thanks for the SteamFeed mention Peg! Great advice. I may redirect people inquiring to write a guest post for SteamFeed to this article first. :)

I think re-tweet is a way of saying thank you, but once in a while you should say thank you and be "social".

Ray, thanks for the SteamFeed plug. :) We need to create more products in 2013 as well, the plan is to do SteamFeed Webinars so we'll have to get you involved in that. :)  I have a feeling it's going to be a great year for the lot of us.

"The technology that would make time travel possible doesn’t exist yet. Until it does, we do have access to this magical software called Christmas – no password required." - Loved this Ray.

I too thought the planes overhead on Christmas Eve were Santa heading to China. That just made sense to me. :)

Merry Christmas Ray!

Update: I'm getting out of Facebook stock at $26.33 (Up almost 32%). Not bad. This company now has too many variables where I don't feel comfortable holding on to it above this price. Good luck all!

First, Loving the stache for Movember Ray! :) Seeing it live on the video was great. :)

I was surprised when you said he just opened up a Facebook page (obviously he's been extremely busy making money). Glad he decided to join us in the social media world to share his story more easily. Which you made a great point about a business having that story to tell before jumping into social media.

Great tips here Peg! Breaking down the proper length for each network is definitely going to be helpful to a lot of people out there. I wonder what the sweet spot for G+ length is? Any thoughts...

Also, I completely agree with giving people credit if you shared great content. :)

"Fish were the fish are" - Does it get any more straightforward than that? Facebook is where it's at. Really great stuff here Ken.

P.S. Appreciate the SteamFeed mention. :)

@JacobkCurtis Nice post! You make some great points here. I think the hardest thing for new community managers is keeping up with the content. I see a lot of brands start off strong with lots of great content but when the engagement is not there right off the bat they slow down and ultimately quit putting up new content. It absolutely takes time to build a community the right way. :)

@sitebymack Thanks for taking the time to comment. It's too difficult to predict the absolute bottom of stocks. It's a fool's game. My point is the stock has been hammered the past few months. It won't get much lower. There is just too many people following it. The buyers will be coming in droves in the $19-$20 range, which is where I wanted people to buy.
