Mark Terbeek understands both the nuances of the new Media landscape as well as the complexity of traditional media better than 99.99% of the investor community. That is what makes him such a powerful and special VC. We are lucky to have him in LA shepherding the disruption/innovation in the space.
Video is a completely different medium than photography. Anyone that lumps the two types of image capture together, aren't true users. The saying "the Instragram of Video" is just annoying. Moving pictures (video) communicate something very different about the creator and has a completely different affect on the viewer. Because it is such a different experience, I don't think we've even come close to seeing the best mobile video products that will be embraced by the public at large...like Instagram with still images .
