I was surprised to see how much he looks like Manu, maybe it is the haircut

I have posted here before that I think James is a good player. I think his time with the Spurs is over for this go-aroun
d. He has too many people ahead of him in the rotation at this time. He should go to another team and get more playing time, show what he can do and get more seasoned. Then...who knows? Look at Sean Elliott, Capt Jack, etc.

Good move for Denmon. In Europe he should get to play. Although, a plus about playing with the Toros would be learning the Spurs system. A year or so overseas, then maybe a year with the Toros to learn the system may pave his way onto the Spurs. And if the money is better...good for him!

I hope RR gets a chance at the D League. I remember seeing a video of him when he had been drafted. He acknowledged that he wasn't NBA ready, but he hoped for a D-league invite. He didn't want to go back to Europe. I don't know how much his time overseas has helped him. I read somewhere the coaches over there want the players to play to their strengths, with very little training or instruction on developing skills. Ryan doesn't look like he went looking for individual training either.
I know the NBA is a business, how much would it cost to bring him to the D-League? He is athletic and has the height, if the cost is not too great, why not give him a shot.

I think the Spurs having James Anderson in the Summer League is their way of saying, "This kid is a decent player, he has his head on straight, we just don't have a spot for him" Kind of a payback for how JA has handled his time in San Antonio.

@CraigThomas I have to agree, RR looked better on defense. Which is one way into Pop's heart. I think he could develop into something special with the correct training.
Watching his 3 pointers, I thought his moving around leagues and not having a set workout routine, left him out of shape. That probably explained why he seemed to have no push from his legs, leaving his shot short. He seemed to defend well, denying his man the ball.
IF he looks OK the rest of the summer league, bring him into training camp, then probably the D-League should be his home. Give him some rope and let's see what he can do.
