@Say my Name @Hotfreak Last night's pass to MD for the first goal was an excelent example of Boyle's strength. If that wasn't physical domination, I don't know what is. And all that without "crushing" an opponent.

@calithirteen For that offer alone I will be in favor of keeping Pyatt.

@AveryYesBettmanNo Enough already with this Boyle derangement syndrome. If the man walked on water you'd accuse him of not being able to swim.

My man, Boyle!
Kevin, I am very much in favor of a Donation button. If you create one, I will be one of the first people to donate...maybe the first. :)

I like the idea of guest blogging (and I would volunteer to proof-read the blogs LOL,) but I also like the idea of asking people to pay for having access to the blog. I think that $10 per year would not offend or discourage any of the rabid Rangers fans - and we are all of us rabid fans, aren't we? A PayPal account could be easily set up for such payments - I would call them contributions to the cause. The non-paying readers could still have an access to the headlines.
First the Boyle Derangement Syndrome, now the same thing with Del Zotto. Some of the comments bring to mind little lapdogs, barking excitedly and nipping at the ankles. MDZ has had some terrible games and he's had some excellent games, just like the rest of the Rangers. Being critical of a player is not the same as being obsessed. Till recently, Lundqvist was terrible - why not trade *him* away, along with MDZ? And why would the Rangers want to trade for Moulson, a player who will be an UFA at the end of the season? With all his scoring power, remember where the Isles ended last season.

Is it just me, but I thought that while the rest of the team was happy to see Stepan score a hattrick, there was Pyatt, sitting on the bench, with a sour look on his face. Does the man ever smile?

@gravey94 @brian2686 I liked it how Zuc JUMPED into Boyle's arms after a good play. I thought Boyle would carry him around the rink like a babe in his mother's arms.

And i should have said, "wreaking" havoc, rather than "wrecking" havoc. Of course - serves me right. :)
Chris Kreider may have been reeking of sweat, but he was wrecking havoc in front of the net. Great effort, and well-rewarded.
As critical as I have been of the Rangers this season, I have to compliment them on last night's game, full of energy and involvement. Do you think they have read my comments and taken them to heart? I am sure they did!

Pathetic, sluggish, disorganized - and these are the kindest terms I
can think of as regards the last night's game. I have been suspicious of
AV from the very moment he had Arniel join him as an assistant. It's
true that some players are missing from the lineup, but nothing can
justify the lack of energy and zeal on the part of this miserable bunch
of millionairies. MDZ lived up to his "Delzaster" sobriquet; Sterpan was
invisible; Kreider's greatest contribution was to help the Flyers by
knocking down McDonagh.

So, those of the commenters who were dismissing the poor play of the Rangers in the preseason games were wrong. I take no satisfaction in being right. No amount of rationalization can explain the two miserable, humiliating performances of an uncoordinated, incompetent bunch of millionaires. I would be totally in favor of a "pay-for-performance" system, in which the players are paid at intervals on the basis of their actions on the ice. I should hope that contract talks between Lundquist and the Rangers will reflect the pathetic level of his recent play. Of course, he was not helped on ice by his dreadful teammates. Disgusting!

@ttownjane @TheNYRBlog That's another way of saying that "old habits die hard." The team and the coach have had some months already to get used to a "new system," whatever that is.
