In view of economic history of nations that've succumbed to Socialist spending plans which, by deficit spending, debased their fiat currency before hyper-inflation lead to catastrophic collapse it's only a matter of a few years before the USA will collapse as FRNs become truly worthless. We should "shut it down" as other blog readers have suggested.
OBAMACARE is far too expensive for the US economy and will hasten the demise of our economy.
@foxmuldar I fully expect we'll soon see government thugs (a.k.a. military or police) forcefully confiscate private arms as the make door-to-door sweeps of neighborhoods. How many UN, Russian & other non-USA troops do you think are presently stationed in the USA? If there are any, why are they here? Think about it. If one reads history of other nations they will see that where "registration" was performed it was only a few more years before confiscation was seen.
@Evermyrtle I rather doubt people who participate in abortion think God views their actions (or perhaps they deny God exists). I think moral decay in U.S. society (& pre/extra-marital sex is moral decay) shows a fair degree of being a lover of self & being more concerned with immediate pleasures than being responsible for one's decisions. When one reads the Bible passages which tell us what'll be happening shortly before Jesus' return & thinks about what they read it can be seen that many markers of the end of the age have been reached & if one pays attention & thinks about what he/she sees in world news they may prepare for tribulation that'll soon begin. We're told that nobody knows when He will return & that we are to pray we're deemed worthy.
@jstarusa @TheGizmo51 @WilliamHenry @BenFaust You are mistaken if you think we did not have a choice regarding getting a Social in-Security number. We did & still DO have a choice. The SCOTUS record is replete with cases where, on religious grounds, individuals refused to get and use a Social in-Security Number. In fact, the EEOC will still address an individual being refused employment for failure to be a Social in-Security Number adherent. I am 60+ years old and had parents that, to my chagrin, applied for Social in-Security Account for me. The law gives me some rights since I was not "of age" as an adult when SSN was assigned to me. Today I am exercising my right to live without a Social in-Security Number and am learning about various laws which "may" protect me. Yes we were very naive to think that our government would leave that trust fund alone. When I was 15 and saw the FICA withholding on 1st paycheck I accepted that I'd never get the same value out as I was, under duress, forced to put in to SS. Only time will tell if I have any right regarding Social in-Security. At this moment I believe Government is the "beast" & Social in-Security Number IS the mark of the beast.
@MYS77 I am sorry to burst your bubble regarding legislators who spread the BS of working for "We the people", but US Government in Washington, DC's populated by people with singular interest in padding their respective retirement accounts. I've read & reread the entire United States Constitution trying to find things which show US Government is to clothe, feed, & shelter any private citizen (or illegal alien) who refuses to work to feed & take care of themselves. Where in the Constitution is there a duty to build & pay for sports stadiums owned & operated by private franchize owners? Where is it written we're required to subsidize tobacco farmers (as well as wheat, cotton, corn & all other version of farmers)? Where's it written private citizens are required to give their money to labor unions? What happened to freedom of choice? Why wasn't President Kennedy's Executive Order which eliminated the Federal Reserve Bank ever enacted? Why do politicians refuse to stop pork barrel spending & force the Government to stop giving money it doesn't have to our enemies: Egypt & other Islamic nations bent on destroying us? China has stopped buying US debt & is buying & holding vast reserves of Gold bullion. Several nations in the world Russia, among them, have agreed to use Chinese juan for international trade. Petrodollar's days are numbered & never ending creation of fiat currency by the private Federal Reserve Bank in QE1, QE2, QE3, QE4 will soon appear in hyper-inflation. The price of Gold & silver each have upward pressure which may see $3,500.00 ounce of Au (gold) before the end of 2013 & before the decade's over $10,000.00 AU & $700.00/oz of Ag (silver) may be seen. World industrial use of Ag is far in excess of world Ag mining production. Since Ag is used in so many electronic products for which an alternative doesn't exist simple supply/demand market action may lead to its more rapid $ purchase price rise than that of Au. When was the 1st Amendment repealed so it is legal to force everyone to accept "The Mark of the Beast" in the form of Social in-Security Numbers? I can personally tell you that even though the Social Security Administration says: "The Social Security Act does not require a person to have an SSN to live and work in the United States, nor does it require an SSN simply for having one." & the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission is supposed to enforce one's Religious right to refuse using a Social in-Security Number it is not possible for me to get a job without a SSN. Mankind is in the end times & will soon see Bible prophecy completed before Jesus returns. The financial collapse of the USA (in my opinion) is about to happen.

@Rose Palmer BHO thinks that he & government are, for some reason, responsible for having government provide health care for everyone. I think the problem is that the true meaning of "general welfare" used in the context of the United States Constitution by the Continental Congress no longer carries the intended meaning it had when it became part of the US Constitution. I think "general welfare" has been changed to equal the welfare definition that AFDC (Aid to Families with Dependent Children) had so that more civil servant employees could be hired & individual responsibility for all of one's decisions/actions in life (including actions to abstain from sex until marriage) were deemed proper, acceptable & preferred. Instead, voters learned how to create another teat at the public trough so more Marxist, Socialist, Democrat voters could be born into perpetual birth-to-death dependence on Government aid & the Civil Servants could feel good about filling the public feeding trough.
@Evermyrtle @EruditeMan How can you disagree that BHO has no concept of risk & reward when he clearly is doing everything he can do to tax and steal the rewards of risk takers who developed our productive society? Being smart or intelligent has nothing to do with understanding risk reward psychology in humans. BHO is just like all of the other Marxist, Socialist Democrats who think anyone with wealth has that wealth because they got an unfair advantage or stole it from someone else. The "couple of months" you refer to have already begun (govt. CPI 2.2% in 2012's more accurately 7.7%) & the really hard times you speak of will probably resemble post WWI Germany when QE1, QE2, QE3, & QE4 result in hyper-inflation on top of the confiscatory taxation under the mantle of "Affordable Health Care" which will be far from affordable. China's no longer interested in risks of buying/holding US debt & is buying Gold like mad. Gold may hit $3,500.00 (probably more) before 2013 ends. The petro dollar is crumbling as the Chinese juan is already accepted by several trading nations when dealing in international trade. The $ is being removed from its perch in world affairs.
The black woman that got the "Obama phone" evidently believed every word B.H.O. has ever said; as have the other 96% of registered black voters that joined the Marxist, Socialist, DummyCrats when they showed no racist tendencies by voting for him in 2008 & 2012. It's doubtful Congress will ever learn to stop spending money it doesn't have & the fiat currency used in the USA will be devalued such that the world community of nations will begin refusing to use it. Healthcare costs will never be reduced & the deficit will continue to blind people into ignoring the national debt as it eats the entire economy & causes social disruption.
The disastrous start was begun by Woodrow Wilson in the 1913 creating of the Federal Reserve private bank. Inflation is a tax that steals from anyone who tries to accumulation private wealth. In the past few years QE1, QE2, QE3 & now (unending) QE4 has been used by the Fed to "print" trillions of FRNs since China no longer wants to invest in US debt. World ecpnomic history will repeat itself in the foreseeable future when the US $ goes the way of the ReichsMark of Post WWI Germany went when hyper-inflation stole the wealth of private citizens in Germany. Fiat currency is worthless & we will soon see just how worthless when it takes $10,000.00+ to buy one (1) ounce of gold before the decade is out. About 50 years ago when I saw FICA on my 1st paystub & learned what it was I resigned myself to never seeing any of my confiscated funds returned to me. In the next 2 or 3 years we will see the rules of collecting SSI change & more of the sheople's wealth stolen by Big Brother.
Barrack H. Obama has no concept of risk & reward when it comes to creating wealth. He thinks taking a corporation's ROI funds doesn't matter because "they" don't need or want it anyway. He will never understand that such confiscation of private property by Government will ultimately change marketplace behavior & make things worse instead of making things better.
I'm afraid that the vast majority of Marxist, Socialist, DummyCrat, and 96% of registered Black voters who weren't racists in 2008 & again in 2012 have been feeding at the public trough so long they're incapable of thinking beyond the next freebie the US Federal Government slops to them them while taking private rights & property from freedom-loving people who've been bludgeoned for years. One can only hope & pray that more than one (1) measly state has backbone enough to fight the big hand of Federal government before all is lost.
@AndrewJerome @DianePenn I too dropped my AARP membership after about 15 years when I saw that AARP's in favor of OBAMACARE. Each day I see the writing on the wall: The U.S.A. will soon fall into the economic abyss since there are no disciplined people in Washington, D.C. that understand Socialism is now, and always has been a failing model. The US Congressional stupidity and refusal to stop spending money the US doesn't have will soon show that world economic principles have not, and will not change. The Federal Reserve will keep on waving its magic wand to create piles of fiat currency. The world's already begun refusing to buy US debt and China's accumulating tons of Gold as it postures to become the world's next superpower. The USA can't afford the bill OBAMACARE created. US Congress is already searching for ways to "Nationalize" private IRA, 401-k and other retirement plans. The ride will have extreme social costs. Perhaps these things are part of Biblical prophecy? Through the years I thought I'd be dead and gone before God's return would happen but think His return may be soon enough so I'll be alive when He walks through the closed Gate of the temple mount.
@Bajaj I what way is this bad business? Any business should actively work to reduce its operating costs. Walmart is simply taking action under different circumstances.
@Evermyrtle I'm absolutely certain that there is no advantage that exists in OBAMACARE: none, nadda, zip, zero, zilch. The medical insurance premium increases most people are reporting to date will look small when compared to increases that will happen again in 2013, and again in 2014, and every year for about the next 5 years.

Excellent idea but the monetary penalty should be much higher. Instead of a paltry $1,000.00 the fine should be at least $10,000.00.
@DRLJR I too have read the law itself and find several areas which appear to violate the U.S. Constitution. There are still some legal challenges wending their way through the Civil Courts. We can only pray that they're not thrown out by Judges with such a Socialist bent they don't reach SCOTUS for more proper evaluation. Justice Robert's ruling on the tax issue has nothing to do with the Unconstitutionality of the law.
@CarolFryer All legal efforts regarding B.H.O.'s fraudulent, ineligible POTUS action seem to have been quashed by Judges who may be in B.H.O.'s pocket. Many people want to go after him being in office illegally but they can't get any traction since the Judges are in his pocket.
