The title of this blog says 'Your Reviews & the DMS Roadmap'. Your reviews points to all the people that commented on the launch and all the troubles with it, I thought. But nothing about this. Very strange and very dissapointed. It seems to me that PL is trying to overcome all the criticism by just ignoring it until people get tired of asking questions they don't like. I'm sorry, in general I'm really very patient with everyone, even my ISP when internet is down ;), but I never experienced something like this here at PL before.During the last week I posted some replies here and on the forum, no response yet.My points:1. I bought the Framework only april 26th. A few weeks later the announcement of DMS. I get no upgrade (except the free version) and in my view there will be nor more updates to PL 2. That means I got 1 small bugfix update and that's it. LIFETIME it said, and that was over just one month later. That's not EOL, but DOA!2. All the free plugins and sections I could download are gone. Only premiums available now.And imho it's all very simple. Just give all the customers the rest of their year back and we/I are satisfied. After that everyone will pay again for another year or will be gone to another platform, whatever people want.I quess this reply also will be ignnored. I'm so so disappointed how things are handled here.

@Martin Bay @Kyle_n_Irving @Brenden I'm looking for those free plugins and sections as well. I added a topic about this in the forum yesterday, but no reply yet. I can only see premium plugins, even with my 'Framewok only' account.

@PetraNiedermoser @rabergemann I have to address this one more time, because I didn't receive any answers.
I purchased PL in april and a few weeks later DMS was announced. Because I bought the framework only (to try the framework and then perhaps upgrade to a plus account), I don't get an upgrade and have to pay allover again. But... the deal was that I would get updates for a year, but now PL is EOL and I bought something that will not be developed anymore. That sucks. Why is there no offer to people like me? What's the idea behind this? It gives me really such a bad taste in my mouth about PL as a company.

@Dannyh @Matthew01970 And this has been exactly the mistake by PL. First communicate so that people know what's going on, not work for 30 hours and THEN let people know what HAS been going on. Sounds to me like a beginners mistake from the point of view of someone who worked in communitions and PR.

Whatever the reason, whatever the excuse, the one most important thing the crew behind PL is forgetting or ignoring right now, is communication with their customers. Perhaps their thoughts were to first of all repair all that was damaged, but that's not the mosts important thing. The most important thing is information and communcation. When my car is at the garage and something goes wrong, I first expect a phone call that repairs are going to take longer than expected. After that, they can get all the time in the world from me to take care of the troubles.
As things are developing right now, I can think of no argument or excuse whatsoever that would justify or explain the attitude of the PL crew. I'm really sorry to say this, but this is a big big mistake and gives me a bad bad feeling, whatever comes next.
@Matthew01970 @Jack Tummers Personally that's one of the things that makes me think to move over to Genesis/Dynamik, because these frameworks don't change anything to the normal Wordpress logic and files. So if something goes wrong, you will always be able to makes necessary changes right in the template files themselves. With PL, I had no idea where it all went ;).
Perhaps it's time for me/us to just wait and see what will be next. Except for those that are now stuck with their websites :(. I think all is said, over and over. I keep getting these replies in my maibox and I wonder how the people behind PL must feel at the moment. I know this is very bad publicity and I guess they have been overenthousiastic. Meanwhile I have been checking out some other 'frameworks' which make me think that the name DMS is unique, but not what it does, and so the whole announcement has been just too much, too bloated. Personally that was bothering me from the start.
@Matthew01970@redefiler That's also what I was referring to: 'I just want to point out that I don't think the switch in pricing is
fair to people who bought the framework and are now stuck with a version
that will not be developed anymore, while that was the deal: 'One year
It would be a shame imho if nothing would be done about this. I have to admit I was already looking around at other 'frameworks', but let's see how things develop here at pl.com
@martin Pagelines @EnteGrato Perhaps the same issue, but I can't find the 'old' free plugins and sections anymore I was using. I saw one of them, Woocommerce, has moved to Github, but I can't find the rest.
Question about the pricing, because it was said that 'each case is different' for upgrading, but now I just see the line that says that only people who bought the framework after june 15th get it for free (for a year). There are no other situations as far as I can see. I bought it in April, and only a very short moment after that the announcement of DMS came out. I already mentioned somewhere else in a comment that I bought PL with the notion that I would get updates for a year, but I'm sure there will be no more updates for the old PL now that DMS is here and that was not the deal. So now what?
I'm not being a 'hater of lover' right now, please don't accuse me of that, I just want to point out that I don't think the switch in pricing is fair to people who bought the framework and are now stuck with a version that will not be developed anymore, while that was the deal: 'One year of updates'.
So I could use this section with post formats? On the demo page their are two buttons with image format and aside format, but clicking them makes nothing happen. The page remains the same.

I bought this plugin of yours and I find it very very usefull to add extra content (blocks).I just wanted to try to use it for adding icons before the post titles and widget titles and such, but I can't find the right hooks. As far as I can see those WP hooks are not included, am I right?

@chriscct7 @Jack Tummers @FnqWeb I know, but like I said in another comment. I bought only the framework because I wanted to try PL for a few months on some projects, and after that perhaps upgrading to the plus.

What's the difference between the cool pockets and the wide section? In the demo they look the same.

@arpowers @davekeys I think I want to comment on this, because I was the first to complain about the announced princing. First of all, I'm not a hater! Far from it. And software is not a car. I bought PL two months ago in the understanding that it would continue to develop and I would receive upgrades of the 2.x branche for free. I don't think the developers will spend their time on developing and improving an 'old' platform, other than just bug fixes. Correct me if I'm wrong. And sure I can still use the version I bought, but that was not the deal.
Anyhow, I really really like PL, believe me. But you people must understand how it feels to buy something (and one of the most expensive WP frameworks available) and then be suprised with the news that it will kind a stop being developed.
Looking forward to the announcement, and the pricing and discounts ;). And one more thing, people only shouting 'awesome, fantastic and you guys are unbelievable' don't get you anywhere without a few critical comments here and there ;)
@watchbill Their indeed is a learning curve, even for something called drag and drop. My first two sites I would have done much easier and quicker than with PL, but slowly I'm getting the hang of it and I'm suprised I don't use my regular template system anymore. But in the beginning it can be very confusing, I agree. But that's what the new version should tackle I think.

@FnqWeb My thoughts exaclty. I purchased the developer framework only, because I wanted to try it out for a few months, and after that I could always decide to switch to the plus membership if I wanted to keep using PL for my clients. So I'm curious about what the final product will be and assume the people behind PL will change their mind about the 'upgrading' policy.
@arpowers@Jack TummersI was just commenting on the news and the 'june 15' deadline. I'm willing to change my opinion ofcourse, really! ;), but I'm very curious how 'basic' and 'free' compare to the Developer / Business Edition I bought in april...
I could be looking forward to this, but I totally disagree about the pricing. I bought Pagelines on April 26th for 239 dollars, understanding that I would get upgrades for a year. And now, only two months later I hear about this thing that's going to replace PL and I have to pay for that??? That's absolutely unfair and even deception. I think everyone who has PL should get the new version for free for the rest of the period they payed for. If not, I'm very very dissapointed how you treat your customers.
I searched with Google ;) But clicking on the link 'support' after being logged in doesn't work.
The forum is still not working. I get an error that the page doesn't exist :(
@evanmattson @Jack Tummers No rush ;) I didn't know others also mentioned this, just wanted to let you know about the video.

Nice plugin, I think, but the music in the background of the video made it impossible for me to view it until the end. Like sitting at the dentist or viewing a video about a tropical resort. ;)
I'm interested in this plugin, but how do vertical images look? In the demo there are only horizontal images.
Also, does this only work with WP galleries?

I wanted to see the demo, but clicking on it shows a spam page.
