I am amazed and dismayed at Senator Paul's decision. I thought that we finally had someone that we could count on to stand against the Republican party, in favor of our Bill of Rights. Sad.
Also, since only Congress has been given the power to create law (which cannot be delegated), when and how did all these fed agencies get the right to create laws? Or was this just a power grab too?
While it is possible that the Feds can control interstate traffic of various substances, I can't find any place in the Constitution where they are given the power to ban anything. I assume that's why it was necessary to create a constitutional amendment at the beginning of the prohibition era. When and how did this change, or is it an overt power grab by the Feds?
