Yes man, yes! The tan yeezys are among my favorite sneakers of all time. Any 'Tan Yeezy' inspired sneakers for the most part for me. Everyone that I've seen thus far has been straight "heat"--the 3s, the 6s, and even the Milan Nike Air Max One Home Turf 'Milans', which aren't even customs lol.
That's really great and truly inspiring to all those into custom sneaks and really pursuing any personal interest. This instance just goes to show that if you continually produce "heat" and fantastic work that it can truly pay off, at least in terms of your exposure.
These remind me of the Tan Yeezys which are one of my favorite pairs of sneakers; I'll definitely try to cop these!
@TheRealMadIce Ok, the article needs updating then! Thanx for the response.
@TheRealMadIce Nike Store likely won't have them, at least based on this description since it says these Lebrons won't be available online.
I like the decisions made in reference to the amount of burnt orange and silver-esque tone covering the majority of this KD V. Ironically, I like that the shoe isn't predominantly the burnt orange like the KD IV; I feel it makes the shoe more wearable, either out casually or on the court. Concerning the latter, I have more athletic wear to match with a shoe that's mainly a silver-type color than burnt orange.
Even provided, these are the TX LH edition, true KD fans know this is that reference--I don't feel it's a need to have a Longhorns' logo in addition to a lot of that burnt orange. I actually feel that was overkill and was why I wasn't a big fan of the TX LH edition KD IVs.
Does anyone know other places that'll be getting these? Reebok's website said they already sold out and the same for karmaloop.
@Letsdothis I didn't get the WC3s from 2011 but the outsole/bottom of this 'Nike Air' WC3 still says 'Jordan' opposed to Nike. So that's one facet that has stayed the same. I can't speak for any other possible differences.
@Thigh_pillowz I completely agree with you. Nowadays, I'm weary of paying over retail for just about anything from JB based on previous releases (e.g. restock of the Raptor 7s, Bred 4s, Kilroy pack (namely the MB Jones), the Thunder 4s and likely the Lightning 4s in March). That's definitely why I don't want to pay retail for any Js that previously had 'Nike Air' on the back either (i.e. Js 3-6); even if they may still carry the jordan name on the bottom sole.
A lot of Xmas kix but, as usual, at least to me, Ray's shoes were the best, namely his PE XVIIIs. Additionally, I also liked Westbrook's XX8s--that noctilucent type colorway is sick IMO.
I agree with most everyone else concerning the heat displayed at this Sneaker Con, aside from the fake Yeezys and the like. I really respect those wearing the extremely rare kicks like the Paranorman Foamposites, Paris SBs, and the Watch the Throne LBJ 9s for instance. Those really caught my eye, although the Tan/Net Yeezy 1s are truly a favorite of mine (I won them at a raffle at DTLR). Yep, so it was truly great to see all this heat--I haven't seen anything like this in a while.
I bet there'll be some dudes who'll pull this off, but I don't even want to try. When I see these, I think about how sexy they'd look on a chick. Real talk.
The midsoles and outsoles look like the Lebron 8 mid; may be that's where the inspiration for these came from.
Thankfully I was able to get the pack. Upon inspecting them, did anyone notice or think it was weird that the lace tips on the 7s were silver and NOT gold?
These look like some straight customs! Very cool and original--despite the nickname Statue of Liberty nickname which has already been coined by the Statue of Liberty sb dunk. But that's still ok--the south beach nickname has been quite pervasive throughout current sneaker culture.
Can't wait until these drop--I didn't get the CDP 19/4 pack because I didn't want the 19s. Then the 4s alone still are expensive. These are definitely up there on my list of shoes to get before the end of the year, up there with the galaxy zoom rookies.
Great photos of shoes at Sneaker Con Miami. I definitely plan on making it out to a Sneaker Con event and hope to see this amount of heat, if not more, when I get the chance!
Is it just me or do these not look like the NIke Air Darwin 360 (irrespective of the inner nike check on the inner side of the shoe)?
