Chris,
What are the odds this is as much about getting ducks in a row for a January run at Dwight as it is about actually bringing Humphries back as a Net?
A sad day indeed for Magic fans. For a long time now, Rhino's been my favorite Magic player in terms of attitude, personality, and general hustle, and I'll sorely miss that when he's gone in another few days. He was the one player I was hoping we'd keep during the dismantling-and-rebuilding process; then again, New Orleans didn't really leave the team with much choice on this one.
So long, Rhino, and thanks for all the memories. We'll miss you!
Great stuff, Sean. Keeping in mind that the Magic are never going to get truly "fair value" back for Dwight, I'd be much more excited about a Lakers-oriented trade than the deal the Nets are floating. One question: when you present the outline of the Dwight-for-Bynum swap, is this your own creation, or is it a deal that's actually been proposed?
