I don't know if this has already been mentioned here, and probably wouldn't be able to happen during the season. But, what about the Rays bench coach Dave Martinez. Here's an interesting interview with him from last year on fangraphs.

Ethier for J.J. Hardy, then sign Bourn. Moves Hanley to third and improves our up the middle defense and gives us a leadoff hitter.
@DBrim I sat 3rd base field level and paid about 30 bucks. The first game I bought in advance and the second game i walked up to the box office and paid 5 bucks less and got a $10 food voucher. they were great seats with an awesome view of the whole stadium.
I hope the Dodgers put a claim on Reid Brignac. He's a great defensive shortstop.
I live in Nashville now and work for a sign company. We just redid the jumbotrons last offseason for the Titans. We were subcontracted thru ANC who are doing the new scorebjoards at dodger stadium. I can guarantee they will have them ready. We worked about 16 hours a day for 2 months straight to get them done for the Titans.
@Mike Petriello I thought that was just for the WBC, I didn't see them on the roster for the CS.

@Mike Petriello Anyway we try and work out a 3 team deal with Arizona and Seattle with Ethier going to Seattle and Upton coming to LA? Just a thought, but still wouldn't get Kemp out of center.
@Mike Petriello You had said a few weeks back that there was an offer on the table with Texas, and that we wouldn't like it. Can you elaborate on that at all? Do you see Texas as still being in play for Ethier?
@EephusBlue @Mike Petriello So are you actually claiming that the Dodgers are in heavy discussions to acquire him? I'm a little confused by your comments?
@Mike Petriello @EephusBlue If he'd buy into being a 4th outfielder he would add a ton of value. Plus, it would keep his legs fresh. If the cubs picked up a ton of his contract it could be a really solid move.
@Mike Petriello @Bob Meripol True, I think most Dodger fans would have the same feelings about him a year into a new contract.
