Jeremy Lamb is underrated on D. His length causes problems for opposing offenses. Even last year against the Spurs, in the playoffs no less, he was able to disrupt passing lanes.

I don't want to dislike Dion. Much of the blame should be on Brooks' shoulders. 25+ minutes a night is not putting him in a position to succeed.
Dion both makes the shot and gets fouled ____% of the time he yells AND ONE!
Jeremy Lamb played like a man with nothing left to lose.
@DionWaiters23 GET OUT!
"Get back in the pen, Lamb." - Brooks
@FunakiEjectsAnother [#GiveSinglerWaitersMins] Granted he has earned it today, but strange. #Brookslogic
@smallhandedthunder @DoctorNasty We need him in the first half to win. Brooks won't play him in the 4th quarter.

@okcjim @DoctorNasty KD's brilliance can cover many a flaw. Can't rely on that for now unfortunately.

Just finished the game on nbafullreplay. Nice to see Russ battle doing everything he could, even if he did get carried away. I gotta say I didn't mind Waiters tonight (for once). We gave way too many layups to Bledsoe. I think I counted at least 6 that were mostly uncontested. Hopefully we'll find a way to bounce back for another tough one tonight.
Russ has been near or at double digit assists in a half lately. He's not looking for the others enough right now.

What's Waiters percentage on uncontested layups with the Thunder? 70 to 80%?

@_justin @DoctorNasty @propsizzle Tell him a cupcake is on the rim.
@propsizzle Why does Waiters not dunk it? I've seen him do it before. It is possible.
@OKC035 @DoctorNasty @Webster81 Oh, good point. I think Reggie was better than any single player, but I think Russ has more options.
6 days, 9 hours ago on Week in Review: Russell goes nuclear
@Webster81 Plus the team Russ is carrying now is much better overall, so KD.
@Durants Shimmy Would you say you're 80% sure?
@smallhandedthunder I can confirm the 25 point game. This was a man averaging probably around 4 points a game. The birthday magic was real.
@ThunderChick2010 My roomie has demanded a birthday greeting. He is currently unavailable and sent me to DT on his behalf. He says he's already on your list.
@DanielLawler It's the Perk effect...somehow.

@Snoop Dion [nthf] @Tonitrus I agree with you, I think the cool thing that is kinda sneaky is how they incorporated it with the cassette.
@mattchant Durant >> Reggie
@FF_pickups @DoctorNasty @mattchant I actually don't know that Lamb is any good, but I do think he'd have done at least as well as Waiters.
@mattchant @DoctorNasty Jeremy Lamb.
@mattchant @DoctorNasty And his name is...
@mattchant @DoctorNasty And he was already on the team...
Man, the #21 shooting guard by PER was available for cheap at the deadline, a young guy too.
@Divine Mortal @ Luke I don't know, he seems to really benefit from playing with Russ.
Is Singler capable of playing the 2? I would imagine he'd be alright on offense, but I'm not sure he'd be able to chase quicker guards around, though admittedly I barely knew who he was before he got here. Someone in the know fill me in.
@ Luke Waiters has more points than fga in 7 of 21 games with us. It hurts.
@ Luke I'm finally coming to grips with the fact that Scott Brooks values effort too much. I was always a hustle guy in my high school days, but if someone else has more talent, you have to go with them. Brooks' devotion to hardwork and professionalism cannot take precedence over putting the best team on the floor.
I've been a pretty big Reggie supporter, but if this was his outlook and with him rejecting our contract offer, he's got to shoulder a pretty big portion of the blame for things going to crap.
@Laniel Dawler Small samples size and all aside, how would we make minutes for him now? Serge is still better, and we can play Kanter some at the 4, as well as KD (when healthy of course). Plus, it's nice to be able to give minutes to Mitch.
Probably old news to most on here, but I hadn't seen it. What do you think?
"I've always imagined having a coach like this, an opportunity like this, in the NBA."
""I wasn't always perfect, nor was the situation, but I became the brunt of the blame there," Jackson said. "Everything bad that happened, I was the scapegoat. I'm taking all this blame, and I'm wondering: 'How am I supposed to change it all here, make an impact, in eight minutes a game?' Everybody is jumping down my neck, and it gets annoying when I'm supposed to have this great impact playing so little this season.
"All of a sudden, I'm the bad locker room guy. I'm the problem…"
"And then, to have people tarnish your name … it just means so much to have someone finally believe in you. I'm Stan's point guard now, and I want that responsibility. He can cuss me out in the film room, do whatever he needs to do for this team and me, because at least now I have control on the court. That's all I ever wanted."
TL;DR - Jackson has beef
@Tonitrus @DoctorNasty That makes much more sense, thank you. So I suppose in the Jordan case if the team was normally -15 ORPM with him and -20 ORPM without, he would still be +5.
@Old Man Game @DoctorNasty Meant Kevin Pelton, whoops. From the Friday Bolts
@Old Man Game @DoctorNasty I think he used RPM. My above post is where I'm confused.
Is Real Plus Minus (RPM) what Pelton used to determine Perk > Kanter? Could someone fill me in on how that works? For instance, say Michael Jordan had been surrounded by the worst players in the league, and they always lost games. They even got further behind with Jordan in. Could Jordan still have a positive RPM? Likewise could a terrible player surrounded by stars have a negative RPM?
The Perk > Kanter people (looks at Aldridge) are what happens when you ignore the eye test and just consider stats.
@BlueBradleyOKC @DoctorNasty I've said this before, but unless you have 5 competent guys on offense, the Spurs model can't work. The Spurs move the ball to get it to the open man, and he pays it off. We almost always had an open man (Robes, Perk), but they couldn't pay anything off.
Thought the GQ article had a really good point. The year we had K-Mart, our team was ridiculous. We didn't miss a beat despite losing a star. It's more important to have 5 competent players on the floor at once than to have another star, and now we almost always have that.
If he's been out most offensively skilled center, I'm not sure we've ever before had an offensively skilled center.
