This is very sad :( I have been an avid reader since 2009 and I can't begin to express my sincere gratitude for all you have done for us Kevin. We all knew this day would eventually come unfortunately today is the day we have dreaded since your first retirement. I truly am unsure what to do the morning after Rangers games now without your wisdom and insight. In closing I agree it's only fair you get a chance to sit back and be a fan but I hope you continue to post on Twitter and occasionally on the blog if the others keep it going best of luck.

Tour friend,

Tim

I was at the draft in LA and got a section of fans to chant Fire Sather immediately following the pick! I wanted Taresenko and still do what a whiff we had ugh can't waste top ten picks like that!!!

Why are we dead? We may lose but I believe in this team and you know what you should too. We were physically imposing our will tonight and the "more" physical Kings didn't seem to have an answer for all the big checks.... look we are down 3-1 but just as easily without broken sticks and rec league refs could be up 3-1 so we will see hand shakes and the cup next week with Hank hoisting the hardware! #LGR

…the death of St. Louis mother has gotten all the headlines this postseason, but let’s not forget the heavy heart Moore’s been playing with all season and will for the remainder of his life. Not sure a more appropriate player could have scored the game winner tonight...

Great point Kevin this is why you are a must read after every blueshirt game thanks again for keeping the blog going I'm an addict and of course lets go Rangers!!!

@Rose M. Presinzano I agree with you 100%. He has some woes but he is reasonably priced and has some tools so lets see if A.V. can help him grow into the player he should be... but what do I know I have only been watching hockey for 23 years.

@JoshKaye everything is cap related here none of us believe Richards is a bad player... he's actually pretty good however if he doesn't get bought out think of this:

1. The obvious he gets injured and we can't buy him out without a cap hit.

2. He retires before the end of his contract (40 years old) then we get hit with the cap recapture advantage clause look it up we would have to pay for the years when he made more than his cap hit.

3. We trade him and he retires before the end of his contract then WE still get hit for the cap recapture advantage clause.

SO WE HAVE TO BUY HIM OUT!!!!!!!!

@gravey94 We all have to pray we don't trade him because if he retires before forty which he most certainly will we will get stuck with the cap recapture advantage clause which means we will have to pay for the years his cap hit was lower than his salary which will be a substantial... BUY HIM OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@Josh6 @Tspaker97 Ok well hopefully he is ready for NHL competition I feel that maybe a year in Hartford would do some good because Miller may be more at this point in his career NHL ready though Lindberg may have more upside down the road

If the Rangers decide to keep this guy than maybe an 8th seed at best... I Can't see Hank sticking around after this year if Brad isn't bought out
