With the trade deadline nearing, what are our needs? I'm thinking an experienced defender to throw at LeBron (LMAM) or a young big man to use in the future and can contribute as a backup now (Valanciunas). I think we probably stand pat, but trade ideas are always fun.

We also get immediately better at backup Center and a chance at redemption for the Aldrich experiament. The question then is is Lamb, LRMAM, and Val better overall production than K-Mart? Probably not, but worth considering.

My theroy is that these past couple years OU's expectations were so high that when they weren't met, the fanbase looked for issues(much like we DTers do) Landry was the qb, which made him the biggest target, made even bigger by his tendancy to make bad decisions here and there.

No one ever has. The big 12 systems favor qbs, and if a qb is coming to OU he was a top recruit. I bet Bell will do fine, he's already better than half the qbs in the big 12 (next year). I just don't know how you can lose a big-time senior qb like that and expect an upgrade at the position.

@Grolgar from what I've seen, beal is athletic for his position. if he has the work ethic, he can evolve into a really good player. That being said, I definitely wouldn't trade up to get him

@Grolgar with the one and dones, teams are drafting for potential, not necessarily production. Mkg didn't put up numbers.

This won't happen. If we want to take away our chances of winning a title next year, this is a good move. Otherwise, presti is devising someway to get a good deal from this false information

Has anybody talked about trading down to get a player like Kyle o'quinn or Jared Cunningham + assets?

I love Royce White, but if people think he will be that stretch 4 that can shoot, he's not. I would rather have nick collison taking jumpers than Royce, but his post moves are cat-like. However, he is not Boris Diow
